  • Carefully unpack your Anemones. They will need to be hydrated upon arrival.

  • Place your flowers in clean, warm water which will help blooming. Carefully remove leaves or foliage that fall under the water level (without tearing the stem skin) to avoid the build-up of bacteria. Cut one-half to one inch off the end of the flower stem in a 45-degree angle (underwater if possible) with a sharp knife, NOT scissors to allow water to be better absorbed through the stems.
  • After cutting the stem at an angle, quickly place the flowers in water since it only takes a minute for the stem to dry and seal up. Anemones are heavy drinkers so check their water level frequently when hydrating and arranging.
  • Anemones look green, closed, slimy, and thirsty upon arrival. They need to be hydrated and processed (remove foliage). After anemones are hydrated, the stems will start to perk up and the blooms will turn from green to the final color of the anemones. if the day before your event, your anemones still look green, wrap the heads in newspaper while having the anemones in water at all times. This will force them to open overnight.
  • Keep flowers in a shaded, cool (no cooler than 45F), relatively humid area. Avoid placing flowers near heat surfaces or in warm/hot environments.
  • Do not keep your flowers in the refrigerator overnight since many fruit and vegetable gases can prematurely wilt flowers.

  • Store Anemones vertically in plenty of water with heads bent toward the light. Do not arrange them with Daffodils unless Daffodils have been properly treated.

Name: Anemone flowers, Poppy Anemone

Colors: White Anemones. Please note that with a limited number of harvests, white anemone flowers can reflect hints of blush and pink. This is a natural feature of Mother Nature and generally fades to white as the buds bloom. Some of this residual coloring may continue to remain, however.

Vase Life: 4-7 days, depending on care and handling.

Availability: Available late December thru late July. See our imported anemone flower products for off-season availability.

Length: Whole Blossoms anemone flowers are 10-16 inches long, and are are packed in 10 stem bunches.

Head Size: Head size on anemones varies. Our imported anemones are usually smaller than domestic anemones. Bloom size cannot be guaranteed due to the nature of this flower.

Arranging Tips:Anemone Flowers are a great wedding flower choice for boutonnieres, corsages, bridal bouquets, cake decorations and wedding centerpieces. Wholesale Anemones are well combined in centerpieces and bouquets with roses, carnations, tulips, and Asiatic or Oriental lilies. Their green leaves cover most empty areas in arrangements not making it necessary to include greens and fillers in your floral arrangements.

Anemones continue to grow after arranging. Leave enough room in bouquets and wedding centerpieces for flowers to open. Do not arrange with with daffodils (narcissus) unless Daffodils were properly treated.

  • When placing your Anemones order, choose a delivery date for 2-3 days prior to your wedding or event. All flowers included in your order are fresh cut flowers that were harvested just prior to delivery. For most flowers, 2-4 days are needed for the blooms to fully open. If your Wedding or Event is on a Saturday, we recommend therefore scheduling your Anemones to arrive on the previous Wednesday or Thursday. Additional wholesale flowers included in your order may be scheduled to arrive the day before your wedding due to the shorter vase life of specific flowers.
  • HOW LONG IN ADVANCE SHOULD I ORDER? We recommend ordering your Anemones at least two weeks before your wedding or event to be sure of product and colors availability.

  • Your flowers will be delivered via FedEx and will require a signature release upon delivery. Tracking number(s) will be emailed to you 1-2 days prior to delivery of your flowers.

  • All flowers shipped from South America and Europe are refrigerated through cold chain management and carefully transported to ensure freshness. Upon arrival, carefully unpack your flowers and follow the care and handling instructions emailed to you after placing your order. Whole Blossoms stands behind freshness and guarantees flower freshness upon delivery.

  • Because Whole Blossoms is able to bypass traditional importers and wholesalers, Whole Blossoms is able to pass savings to you. In addition, our customers benefit from a longer flower vase life since flowers are shipped directly from the farms.

  • For latest status on your order, please go to the Track Your Order section located at the bottom of the menu or contact FedEx directly at 1.800.GO.FEDEX (1.800.463.3339).
