Care & Handling

Upon Arrival:

  • Unpack roses immediately and remove all packaging.
  • Do not force blooms open; allow natural hydration and expansion.
  • Carefully strip excess leaves and guard petals as needed.

Hydration & Prep:

  • Recut stems at a 45° angle under clean water to aid water absorption.
  • Place in clean containers filled with cool water and floral preservative.
  • Allow to hydrate for 8–12 hours in a cool, shaded environment before arranging.

Storage Tips:

  • Ideal storage temperature is 34°F–38°F.
  • Keep away from direct sunlight, heat sources, or ripening fruit.
  • Avoid overcrowding buckets to prevent bent stems and bruising.

Daily Maintenance:

  • Refresh water and floral food every 48 hours.
  • Recut stems slightly to ensure continuous hydration.
  • Remove any wilting petals or leaves to maintain bloom quality.

Design Tips:

  • Wedding Bouquets: Combine with blush roses, white ranunculus, or soft lavender for a layered romantic bouquet.
  • Centerpieces: Use Mandala Roses as the focal flower, supported by soft filler blooms like waxflower or baby’s breath.
  • Color Pairings: Beautiful with ivory, peach, silver greens, or even deeper pinks for ombré-style designs.
  • Texture: Pair with eucalyptus, Italian ruscus, or dusty miller for a lush, modern arrangement.
  • Styling Tip: Use floral tape or wire for tighter bouquet control, especially in handheld or cascading arrangements.

Tips for ordering
  • We recommend that most flowers be scheduled to be delivered 2-3 days prior to an event. All flowers are harvested just prior to delivery.
  • Delicate flowers such as Lily of the Valley, Gardenias, and Stephanotis are best when delivered 1-2 days before the event.
  • Iris have a short vase life so the delivery should be scheduled 2 days prior to your event.
  • Lotus have a short vase life so they need to be ordered 1-2 days prior to events.
  • Peonies and Ranunculus may take longer to open during cold months. Schedule delivery of these flowers 3-4 days prior to your event.
  • Alstroemeria, Gladiolus, Agapanthus, Stars of Bethlehem, Sunflowers, and Lilies may require at least 3 days for blooming. Consider scheduling delivery of these flowers 3-4 days before your event.
  • Blooming branches for Jan and Feb deliveries should be scheduled for delivery at least 7 - 10 days before your event to permit adequate blooming. Expect blooming in 10 days with cold weather. For March and later, a 4-5 day lead time before your wedding or event is suggested for proper blooming.
  • Pumpkin branches schedule delivery 2 to 3 days prior to your event.
  • For Manzanita branches, if you would like the farm to remove the leaves, this needs to be requested in advance.
If you are unsure what day to select, pick the best available date you can, we suggest 3 days prior to the event. OR you can contact our flower care experts by chat or email to help you decide which date is best for you.
