Tips to Decorate with Petals

Tips for Decorating with Mixed Blush and Orange Fresh Rose Petals

Fresh rose petals in shades of blush and orange provide a vibrant yet elegant touch to weddings, events, and romantic celebrations. Here are some creative tips to help you make the most of these stunning flowers in your decor:

 1. Floating Petal Displays

Add a tranquil vibe by arranging rose petals in bowls filled with water or decorating fountains with them. This simple yet captivating idea brings an air of serenity and romance to any setting.

2. Elevating Desserts and Drinks

Use edible blush and orange rose petals to garnish cakes, desserts, or even beverages. Their delicate and colorful nature adds sophistication while making every treat visually delightful.

3. Eye-Catching Tablescapes and Decor

Scatter rose petals across tablescapes, incorporate them into centerpieces, or design stunning backdrops for photos. These vibrant petals are an effortless way to bring a romantic and luxurious look to any event space.

Using fresh blush and orange rose petals is an affordable yet impactful way to enhance your celebration’s aesthetic. These timeless accents transform ordinary spaces into memorable and breathtaking settings.

Care & Handling

Proper care and handling of fresh rose petals can make all the difference in ensuring their beauty and longevity for weddings, events, and romantic celebrations. Store the petals in a refrigerator set between 36-40°F to keep them fresh. Avoid exposing them to freezing temperatures, as this can damage their delicate texture and overall appearance.

It’s important to manage moisture carefully to maintain the vibrant color and softness of the petals. Keep them dry at all times, as excess moisture may lead to discoloration, wilting, or even mold. If the petals become damp, gently pat them dry using a soft cloth or paper towel to prevent any issues.

To achieve the best results, plan to use the petals on the same day as your event. Remove them from refrigeration about 30 minutes prior to use, allowing them to warm to room temperature. Handle the petals delicately with clean, dry hands to avoid bruising or tearing their soft, velvety surface.

By adhering to these tips, your fresh rose petals will maintain their elegance, enhancing every moment of your celebration. Whether as aisle accents, table décor, or scattered in romantic arrangements, these petals will leave lasting impressions and create unforgettable memories.

Tips for ordering
  • We recommend that most flowers be scheduled to be delivered 2-3 days prior to an event. All flowers are harvested just prior to delivery.
  • Delicate flowers such as Lily of the Valley, Gardenias, and Stephanotis are best when delivered 1-2 days before the event.
  • Iris have a short vase life so the delivery should be scheduled 2 days prior to your event.
  • Lotus have a short vase life so they need to be ordered 1-2 days prior to events.
  • Peonies and Ranunculus may take longer to open during cold months. Schedule delivery of these flowers 3-4 days prior to your event.
  • Alstroemeria, Gladiolus, Agapanthus, Stars of Bethlehem, Sunflowers, and Lilies may require at least 3 days for blooming. Consider scheduling delivery of these flowers 3-4 days before your event.
  • Blooming branches for Jan and Feb deliveries should be scheduled for delivery at least 7 - 10 days before your event to permit adequate blooming. Expect blooming in 10 days with cold weather. For March and later, a 4-5 day lead time before your wedding or event is suggested for proper blooming.
  • Pumpkin branches schedule delivery 2 to 3 days prior to your event.
  • For Manzanita branches, if you would like the farm to remove the leaves, this needs to be requested in advance.
If you are unsure what day to select, pick the best available date you can, we suggest 3 days prior to the event. OR you can contact our flower care experts by chat or email to help you decide which date is best for you.
