Q & A

Frequently Asked Questions (Fuchsia Hot Pink Peonies)

Q: When is the best season to order fuchsia hot pink peonies?
A: Fuchsia peonies are typically in season from late spring to early summer, with peak availability between April and June. Pre-booking is recommended due to their high demand and limited growing season.

Q: How many stems come in a bulk order?
A: Our bulk packages generally include 50 to 100 stems, depending on your selection. Custom quantities can be arranged to suit your event needs.

Q: Will the peonies arrive in full bloom?
A: No. We ship our peonies in bud or semi-bloom stage to ensure freshness and longer vase life. They will naturally open up over 1–2 days after hydration.

Q: How do I get my peonies to open faster for my event?
A: To encourage blooming, place the peonies in a warm, well-lit room (not direct sunlight) and refresh the water daily. You may gently loosen the outer petals, but do not force them open.

Q: Are fuchsia peonies fragrant?
A: Yes. Fuchsia hot pink peonies have a soft, sweet fragrance that adds a lovely aromatic touch to bouquets and arrangements.

Q: Can I mix these peonies with other flowers?
A: Absolutely. Fuchsia peonies pair beautifully with whites, blushes, purples, and greenery, making them a stunning focal flower in mixed bouquets.

Q: How long will the peonies last after delivery?
A: With proper care, your peonies can last 5–7 days after arrival. Longevity depends on storage conditions and hydration.

Delivery & Shipping FAQ

Care & Handling for Fuchsia Hot Pink Peonies

Upon Arrival:

  • Unpack Immediately: Open your box as soon as it arrives. Gently remove the peonies from their packaging.
  • Inspect Each Stem: Remove any petals or leaves that may have been damaged in transit.
  • Cut the Stems: Trim each stem at a 45° angle under cool running water, removing about 1–2 inches. This improves water uptake and rehydrates the flowers quickly.
  • Use Clean Vases or Buckets: Fill containers with fresh, cool water and add flower food if available.
  • Hydrate: Place the peonies in the water and allow them to hydrate for a minimum of 4–6 hours. For best results, leave them overnight in a cool, dark location.

Blooming Tips:

  • Peonies arrive in tight or semi-closed buds. To encourage opening:
    • Place in a warm room with natural light (avoid direct sun).
    • Re-cut stems every 1–2 days.
    • Change the water daily to prevent bacteria growth.
    • Gently loosen outer petals if needed—never force them.

Storage Guidelines:

  • Cool Storage: Keep peonies at 36–46°F (2–8°C) if storing before use. Avoid freezing temperatures.
  • Avoid Ethylene Exposure: Keep away from fruits and vegetables, which release ethylene gas and shorten vase life.

Longevity:

  • With proper care, fuchsia peonies will last 5–7 days in fresh arrangements, often longer in cooler environments.

Design Tip:

  • Let peonies open 1–2 days before your event for maximum bloom display. They expand beautifully and become the focal point in bouquets and centerpieces.

Tips for ordering
  • We recommend that most flowers be scheduled to be delivered 2-3 days prior to an event. All flowers are harvested just prior to delivery.
  • Delicate flowers such as Lily of the Valley, Gardenias, and Stephanotis are best when delivered 1-2 days before the event.
  • Iris have a short vase life so the delivery should be scheduled 2 days prior to your event.
  • Lotus have a short vase life so they need to be ordered 1-2 days prior to events.
  • Peonies and Ranunculus may take longer to open during cold months. Schedule delivery of these flowers 3-4 days prior to your event.
  • Alstroemeria, Gladiolus, Agapanthus, Stars of Bethlehem, Sunflowers, and Lilies may require at least 3 days for blooming. Consider scheduling delivery of these flowers 3-4 days before your event.
  • Blooming branches for Jan and Feb deliveries should be scheduled for delivery at least 7 - 10 days before your event to permit adequate blooming. Expect blooming in 10 days with cold weather. For March and later, a 4-5 day lead time before your wedding or event is suggested for proper blooming.
  • Pumpkin branches schedule delivery 2 to 3 days prior to your event.
  • For Manzanita branches, if you would like the farm to remove the leaves, this needs to be requested in advance.
If you are unsure what day to select, pick the best available date you can, we suggest 3 days prior to the event. OR you can contact our flower care experts by chat or email to help you decide which date is best for you.
