Care

Care and Handling for Luxurious Fresh Cut Bulk Orange Roses for Wedding Flowers and Decor

Proper care and handling of orange roses are essential to ensure they look their best and last throughout the event. Here are some important tips to maintain the freshness and vibrant color of your roses:

Unpack and Inspect

Carefully unpack your roses upon arrival and inspect them for any damage during transit. Remove any wrapping materials and prepare the flowers for conditioning.

Hydration

Trim the stems at a 45-degree angle using sharp scissors or a knife. This allows the roses to absorb water more effectively. Place the roses in a clean container filled with fresh, room-temperature water mixed with flower food.

Remove Foliage

Strip any leaves and thorns that might sit below the waterline to prevent bacterial growth, which can shorten the vase life of your roses.

Store Properly

Keep your roses in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, drafts, or excessive heat. Ideally, maintain a temperature of 35-50°F in storage before arranging them for your event.

Regular Maintenance

Change the water daily and recut the stems every couple of days to keep your roses looking fresh and vibrant. Gently mist the petals with water to maintain their moisture.

By following these care practices, your bulk orange roses will remain stunning and elegant, adding warmth and sophistication to your wedding flowers and decor.

Arrangement Tips

Arranging Tips with Orange Roses for Weddings and Events

Pairing with Complementary Colors

Orange roses pair beautifully with neutral tones like white, cream, or blush to create an elegant and timeless look. For a bolder arrangement, mix orange roses with deep reds and burgundy flowers to create a warm, dramatic vibe. Alternatively, combine them with yellows and peaches for a cheerful, sunlit theme.

Creating Textural Interest

Incorporate foliage like eucalyptus or ferns to add texture and depth to your arrangements. You can also include fillers like baby's breath or wax flowers to balance the boldness of the orange roses, creating a harmonious display.

Using Different Heights and Styles

When arranging for centerpieces, play with varying heights to make the display more dynamic. Tall vases with long-stemmed orange roses can make a statement, while low, sprawling arrangements provide a more intimate and relaxed atmosphere.

Seasonal Accents for Weddings

Enhance your orange rose arrangements with seasonal touches. For fall weddings, add elements like berries, autumn leaves, or small gourds for a rustic-theme. For spring or summer weddings, include bright greenery or colorful blooms like daisies or tulips.

By utilizing these tips, you can make the most of your orange roses, creating stunning arrangements that perfectly complement your wedding or event theme.

Tips for ordering
  • We recommend that most flowers be scheduled to be delivered 2-3 days prior to an event. All flowers are harvested just prior to delivery.
  • Delicate flowers such as Lily of the Valley, Gardenias, and Stephanotis are best when delivered 1-2 days before the event.
  • Iris have a short vase life so the delivery should be scheduled 2 days prior to your event.
  • Lotus have a short vase life so they need to be ordered 1-2 days prior to events.
  • Peonies and Ranunculus may take longer to open during cold months. Schedule delivery of these flowers 3-4 days prior to your event.
  • Alstroemeria, Gladiolus, Agapanthus, Stars of Bethlehem, Sunflowers, and Lilies may require at least 3 days for blooming. Consider scheduling delivery of these flowers 3-4 days before your event.
  • Blooming branches for Jan and Feb deliveries should be scheduled for delivery at least 7 - 10 days before your event to permit adequate blooming. Expect blooming in 10 days with cold weather. For March and later, a 4-5 day lead time before your wedding or event is suggested for proper blooming.
  • Pumpkin branches schedule delivery 2 to 3 days prior to your event.
  • For Manzanita branches, if you would like the farm to remove the leaves, this needs to be requested in advance.
If you are unsure what day to select, pick the best available date you can, we suggest 3 days prior to the event. OR you can contact our flower care experts by chat or email to help you decide which date is best for you.
