Tips to Decorate with Petals

Decorating with Mixed Orange Fresh Rose Petals

Mixed orange rose petals bring warmth, energy, and a sense of joy to any celebration. Their vibrant hues range from soft peach to deep tangerine, making them a perfect choice for weddings, events, and romantic moments. Here are some creative and impactful ways to decorate with mixed orange rose petals:

 1. Aisle Accents

Line the wedding aisle with orange rose petals to create a stunning pathway. Layer the petals in a gradient or alternate shades for a unique ombre effect. For extra flair, combine them with greenery or other complementary florals.

2. Table Runners and Centerpieces

Scatter mixed orange petals down the middle of your tables to build a natural yet festive table runner. You can also pair them with candles, lanterns, or rustic wooden elements to complete the look.

3. Ceremony Backdrops

Create a breathtaking backdrop for your wedding ceremony by adorning an arch or altar with orange-hued petals. Combine fresh blooms and petals for a cohesive, striking design that photographs beautifully.

4. Cake Decorations

Add a whimsical touch to your dessert table by embellishing your wedding or event cake with orange rose petals. Gently place petals around the base or on individual dessert plates for an elegant presentation.

5. Romantic Getaways

For anniversaries or proposals, scatter mixed orange rose petals around a cozy seating area, along a scenic outdoor path, or on the bed in your setup. Their warm tones evoke affection and intimacy, making the occasion unforgettable.

Mixed orange rose petals symbolize enthusiasm and passion, making them a perfect addition whether you’re aiming for a lively, vibrant celebration or a charming, romantic setting. Care & Handling

Care and Handling of Fresh Rose Petals for Weddings, Events, and Romantic Celebrations

Fresh rose petals add elegance and charm to any occasion, but proper care is essential to keep them looking their best. Follow these tips to ensure your petals remain vibrant and beautiful.

 1. Optimal Storage Temperature

Store petals in a cool environment, ideally between 35–45°F (1.5–7°C). Avoid freezing temperatures, as they can damage the petals' delicate structure and appearance.

2. Proper Packaging

Keep the petals in their original packaging or transfer them to an airtight container lined with a slightly damp paper towel. This helps retain their moisture and keeps them fresh for longer.

3. Handle with Care

Be gentle when handling rose petals to prevent bruising or tearing. Their fragile nature requires a light and careful touch to preserve their beauty.

4. Timing is Key

Incorporate petals into your decor as close to the event's start time as possible. This minimizes their exposure to elements like heat, wind, or direct sunlight that can lead to fading or drying out.

5. Protect from Sunlight

Keep petals away from harsh sunlight. Shielding them from direct rays ensures they maintain their soft texture and vibrant color throughout the occasion.

With these easy steps, your fresh rose petals will create a stunning atmosphere for your memorable event.

Tips for ordering
  • We recommend that most flowers be scheduled to be delivered 2-3 days prior to an event. All flowers are harvested just prior to delivery.
  • Delicate flowers such as Lily of the Valley, Gardenias, and Stephanotis are best when delivered 1-2 days before the event.
  • Iris have a short vase life so the delivery should be scheduled 2 days prior to your event.
  • Lotus have a short vase life so they need to be ordered 1-2 days prior to events.
  • Peonies and Ranunculus may take longer to open during cold months. Schedule delivery of these flowers 3-4 days prior to your event.
  • Alstroemeria, Gladiolus, Agapanthus, Stars of Bethlehem, Sunflowers, and Lilies may require at least 3 days for blooming. Consider scheduling delivery of these flowers 3-4 days before your event.
  • Blooming branches for Jan and Feb deliveries should be scheduled for delivery at least 7 - 10 days before your event to permit adequate blooming. Expect blooming in 10 days with cold weather. For March and later, a 4-5 day lead time before your wedding or event is suggested for proper blooming.
  • Pumpkin branches schedule delivery 2 to 3 days prior to your event.
  • For Manzanita branches, if you would like the farm to remove the leaves, this needs to be requested in advance.
If you are unsure what day to select, pick the best available date you can, we suggest 3 days prior to the event. OR you can contact our flower care experts by chat or email to help you decide which date is best for you.
