Care & Handling

Care & Handling:

  • Unpack Immediately: Remove from packaging as soon as they arrive.
  • Rehydrate Promptly: Trim stems at a sharp angle under clean water and place in a sanitized vase.
  • Remove Excess Foliage: Strip off any leaves below the water line to prevent bacterial growth.
  • Ideal Storage: Store in a floral cooler or cool room between 36–50°F. Keep out of direct sunlight and drafts.
  • Hydration Time: Allow 4–12 hours for full hydration before arranging.
  • Vase Maintenance: Change water daily and recut stems to prolong vase life.

Design Tips:

  • Use bicolor lavender anemones as focal blooms in bouquets and centerpieces for a romantic, airy look.
  • Pair with cream or blush roses, ranunculus, and soft eucalyptus for soft wedding aesthetics.
  • Ideal for garden-style, boho, or vintage wedding themes.
  • Their rich dark centers create depth, making them perfect for monochromatic or pastel color palettes.

Pro Tips:

  • Handle with care—anemones are delicate and bruise easily.
  • Use in arrangements closer to the event once blooms have opened slightly for peak beauty.
  • Combine with textured fillers like wax flowers or Queen Anne’s lace for a dynamic, premium look.
  • Use in bridal bouquets, reception centerpieces, cake toppers, or as a standalone statement bloom.

Tips for ordering
  • We recommend that most flowers be scheduled to be delivered 2-3 days prior to an event. All flowers are harvested just prior to delivery.
  • Delicate flowers such as Lily of the Valley, Gardenias, and Stephanotis are best when delivered 1-2 days before the event.
  • Iris have a short vase life so the delivery should be scheduled 2 days prior to your event.
  • Lotus have a short vase life so they need to be ordered 1-2 days prior to events.
  • Peonies and Ranunculus may take longer to open during cold months. Schedule delivery of these flowers 3-4 days prior to your event.
  • Alstroemeria, Gladiolus, Agapanthus, Stars of Bethlehem, Sunflowers, and Lilies may require at least 3 days for blooming. Consider scheduling delivery of these flowers 3-4 days before your event.
  • Blooming branches for Jan and Feb deliveries should be scheduled for delivery at least 7 - 10 days before your event to permit adequate blooming. Expect blooming in 10 days with cold weather. For March and later, a 4-5 day lead time before your wedding or event is suggested for proper blooming.
  • Pumpkin branches schedule delivery 2 to 3 days prior to your event.
  • For Manzanita branches, if you would like the farm to remove the leaves, this needs to be requested in advance.
If you are unsure what day to select, pick the best available date you can, we suggest 3 days prior to the event. OR you can contact our flower care experts by chat or email to help you decide which date is best for you.
