Care & Handling

Upon Receiving:

  • Carefully unbox the flowers and remove all protective wrapping.
  • Trim stems at a 45-degree angle, about 1 inch, using clean floral shears.
  • Place them immediately into clean vases with fresh, cool water and allow at least 6 hours to rehydrate before arranging.

Hydration & Storage:

  • Store in a cool environment (ideally 36–50°F) away from heat, direct sunlight, or fans.
  • Change the water daily and re-trim stems every other day.
  • Remove all foliage below the waterline to reduce bacteria.

Handling Tips:

  • Pink anemone petals are delicate. Handle with care to avoid bruising.
  • Allow flowers to bloom naturally in water before arranging.
  • Avoid crowding the stems or laying heavy stems on top of them.

Designing Tips:

  • Use pink anemones as a focal flower or blend them for a soft, romantic look.
  • Ideal for spring weddings, bridesmaid bouquets, and blush-toned palettes.
  • Combine with white hydrangea, baby’s breath, or soft eucalyptus for layered texture and visual contrast.
  • Suitable for bridal showers, baby showers, or premium gifting arrangements.

Pro Tip:
Avoid storing near ethylene-producing fruits (like bananas), which can reduce shelf life. Always keep them in a cool, hydrated state until use.

What our customers say...

Tips for ordering
  • We recommend that most flowers be scheduled to be delivered 2-3 days prior to an event. All flowers are harvested just prior to delivery.
  • Delicate flowers such as Lily of the Valley, Gardenias, and Stephanotis are best when delivered 1-2 days before the event.
  • Iris have a short vase life so the delivery should be scheduled 2 days prior to your event.
  • Lotus have a short vase life so they need to be ordered 1-2 days prior to events.
  • Peonies and Ranunculus may take longer to open during cold months. Schedule delivery of these flowers 3-4 days prior to your event.
  • Alstroemeria, Gladiolus, Agapanthus, Stars of Bethlehem, Sunflowers, and Lilies may require at least 3 days for blooming. Consider scheduling delivery of these flowers 3-4 days before your event.
  • Blooming branches for Jan and Feb deliveries should be scheduled for delivery at least 7 - 10 days before your event to permit adequate blooming. Expect blooming in 10 days with cold weather. For March and later, a 4-5 day lead time before your wedding or event is suggested for proper blooming.
  • Pumpkin branches schedule delivery 2 to 3 days prior to your event.
  • For Manzanita branches, if you would like the farm to remove the leaves, this needs to be requested in advance.
If you are unsure what day to select, pick the best available date you can, we suggest 3 days prior to the event. OR you can contact our flower care experts by chat or email to help you decide which date is best for you.
