Designing Tips

1. Emphasize Ornament-Inspired Colors

  • Use these roses as focal blooms to highlight their striking holiday bulb hues.
  • Combine with evergreen branches or metallic foliage for added dimension.

2. Add Holiday-Themed Accents

  • Pair with ornaments, ribbons, berries, or glitter branches for Christmas flair.
  • Mix with white or neutral flowers to balance bold dyed tones.

3. Create Festive Centerpieces

  • Form tight round bouquets that mimic the fullness of holiday ornaments.
  • Incorporate gold and silver roses to enhance elegance.

4. Use Lighting to Enhance Shine

  • Place arrangements near warm lights or candles to amplify shimmering colors.
  • Cool-toned lights bring out brilliance in silver and green roses.

5. Build Structured Designs

  • Layer colors for gradient effects or color-blocked arrangements.
  • Add height using winter branches or tall greenery.

Care & Handling

1. Condition Upon Arrival

  • Remove all packaging to allow airflow.
  • Cut stems at a 45° angle under fresh, running water for optimal hydration.

2. Prepare Clean Water

  • Place roses in lukewarm water with added floral preservative.
  • Strip any foliage that would sit below the waterline.

3. Allow Roses to Hydrate

  • Let blooms rest in water for 4–6 hours before designing.
  • Store in a cool area away from sunlight while conditioning.

4. Maintain Floral Freshness

  • Replace water every 24–48 hours.
  • Re-trim stems each time the water is changed.

5. Protect Dyed Blooms

  • Keep away from heaters, cold drafts, and ripening fruit.
  • Avoid touching dyed petals excessively to prevent pigment transfer.

Tips for ordering
  • We recommend that most flowers be scheduled to be delivered 2-3 days prior to an event. All flowers are harvested just prior to delivery.
  • Delicate flowers such as Lily of the Valley, Gardenias, and Stephanotis are best when delivered 1-2 days before the event.
  • Iris have a short vase life so the delivery should be scheduled 2 days prior to your event.
  • Lotus have a short vase life so they need to be ordered 1-2 days prior to events.
  • Peonies and Ranunculus may take longer to open during cold months. Schedule delivery of these flowers 3-4 days prior to your event.
  • Alstroemeria, Gladiolus, Agapanthus, Stars of Bethlehem, Sunflowers, and Lilies may require at least 3 days for blooming. Consider scheduling delivery of these flowers 3-4 days before your event.
  • Blooming branches for Jan and Feb deliveries should be scheduled for delivery at least 7 - 10 days before your event to permit adequate blooming. Expect blooming in 10 days with cold weather. For March and later, a 4-5 day lead time before your wedding or event is suggested for proper blooming.
  • Pumpkin branches schedule delivery 2 to 3 days prior to your event.
  • For Manzanita branches, if you would like the farm to remove the leaves, this needs to be requested in advance.
If you are unsure what day to select, pick the best available date you can, we suggest 3 days prior to the event. OR you can contact our flower care experts by chat or email to help you decide which date is best for you.
