Care & Handling for Fall Rose Bouquets in Bulk

1. Unpack and Hydrate Properly

  • Remove packaging immediately to allow flowers to breathe.
  • Trim stems at a 45° angle underwater to ensure strong water uptake.

2. Prepare Clean Hydration

  • Use fresh, lukewarm water mixed with floral preservative.
  • Remove any leaves that will sit below the waterline.

3. Allow Rehydration Time

  • Let roses hydrate for 4–6 hours before arranging.
  • Keep blooms in a cool location during this period.

4. Maintain Clean Water

  • Refresh vase water every 24–48 hours.
  • Re-cut stems each time water is changed to extend vase life.

5. Store and Display Correctly

  • Keep away from direct sunlight, heaters, or drafts.
  • Do not store near ripening fruits, which release ethylene gas.

Designing Tips

1. Create Festive Color Harmony

  • Combine red, green, gold, and silver roses for a balanced holiday palette.
  • Use white-centered blooms to soften transitions between bold colors.

2. Add Seasonal Elements

  • Mix with pine, cedar, holly, or eucalyptus for a Christmas feel.
  • Incorporate pinecones, ornaments, or ribbon for texture and depth.

3. Design Impactful Centerpieces

  • Cluster roses tightly for a lush, round arrangement.
  • Use metallic roses as focal points to draw the eye.

4. Enhance with Lighting

  • Pair arrangements with candles or fairy lights to highlight shimmer.
  • Use warm lighting to bring out gold tones and cool lighting for silver tones.

5. Create Visual Structure

  • Build color blocks or gradients for professional floral compositions.
  • Use taller greenery or branches to frame and elevate the design.

Tips for ordering
  • We recommend that most flowers be scheduled to be delivered 2-3 days prior to an event. All flowers are harvested just prior to delivery.
  • Delicate flowers such as Lily of the Valley, Gardenias, and Stephanotis are best when delivered 1-2 days before the event.
  • Iris have a short vase life so the delivery should be scheduled 2 days prior to your event.
  • Lotus have a short vase life so they need to be ordered 1-2 days prior to events.
  • Peonies and Ranunculus may take longer to open during cold months. Schedule delivery of these flowers 3-4 days prior to your event.
  • Alstroemeria, Gladiolus, Agapanthus, Stars of Bethlehem, Sunflowers, and Lilies may require at least 3 days for blooming. Consider scheduling delivery of these flowers 3-4 days before your event.
  • Blooming branches for Jan and Feb deliveries should be scheduled for delivery at least 7 - 10 days before your event to permit adequate blooming. Expect blooming in 10 days with cold weather. For March and later, a 4-5 day lead time before your wedding or event is suggested for proper blooming.
  • Pumpkin branches schedule delivery 2 to 3 days prior to your event.
  • For Manzanita branches, if you would like the farm to remove the leaves, this needs to be requested in advance.
If you are unsure what day to select, pick the best available date you can, we suggest 3 days prior to the event. OR you can contact our flower care experts by chat or email to help you decide which date is best for you.
