Designing Tips

1. Showcase the Holiday Colors

  • Use dyed roses as focal blooms to highlight their bold seasonal tones.
  • Pair with evergreens, pine, cedar, or eucalyptus for a Christmas aesthetic.

2. Add Festive Accents

  • Incorporate ornaments, ribbon, berries, or pinecones for texture.
  • Mix with white flowers to balance intense holiday colors.

3. Create Luxurious Centerpieces

  • Arrange tightly for a round, full holiday bouquet.
  • Combine metallic hues like gold and silver to add elegance.

4. Enhance With Lighting

  • Use candlelight or soft LED lights to illuminate the dyed colors.
  • Warm lighting complements reds and golds; cool lighting enhances greens and silvers.

5. Build Visual Depth

  • Layer rose colors to create dimension and interest.
  • Add winter branches or tall greens to elevate arrangement height.

Care & Handling

1. Condition Roses Immediately

  • Remove all packaging materials upon arrival.
  • Trim stems at a 45° angle under running water for maximum hydration.

2. Prepare Clean Hydration

  • Place stems in fresh, lukewarm water mixed with floral preservative.
  • Remove any leaves that will fall below the waterline.

3. Allow Time to Open

  • Let roses hydrate for 4–6 hours before designing.
  • Keep in a cool, shaded area during conditioning.

4. Refresh Regularly

  • Change water every 24–48 hours.
  • Re-cut stems to maintain strong water uptake.

5. Store Properly

  • Avoid direct sunlight, heating vents, or cold drafts.
  • Keep away from ripening fruit, which releases ethylene gas.

Tips for ordering
  • We recommend that most flowers be scheduled to be delivered 2-3 days prior to an event. All flowers are harvested just prior to delivery.
  • Delicate flowers such as Lily of the Valley, Gardenias, and Stephanotis are best when delivered 1-2 days before the event.
  • Iris have a short vase life so the delivery should be scheduled 2 days prior to your event.
  • Lotus have a short vase life so they need to be ordered 1-2 days prior to events.
  • Peonies and Ranunculus may take longer to open during cold months. Schedule delivery of these flowers 3-4 days prior to your event.
  • Alstroemeria, Gladiolus, Agapanthus, Stars of Bethlehem, Sunflowers, and Lilies may require at least 3 days for blooming. Consider scheduling delivery of these flowers 3-4 days before your event.
  • Blooming branches for Jan and Feb deliveries should be scheduled for delivery at least 7 - 10 days before your event to permit adequate blooming. Expect blooming in 10 days with cold weather. For March and later, a 4-5 day lead time before your wedding or event is suggested for proper blooming.
  • Pumpkin branches schedule delivery 2 to 3 days prior to your event.
  • For Manzanita branches, if you would like the farm to remove the leaves, this needs to be requested in advance.
If you are unsure what day to select, pick the best available date you can, we suggest 3 days prior to the event. OR you can contact our flower care experts by chat or email to help you decide which date is best for you.
