Care & Handling

Care & Handling for Luxurious Fresh Cut Orange Roses for Weddings and Events

To ensure your fresh cut orange roses remain vibrant and stunning for your special occasions, follow these care and handling tips:

  1. Unpack with Care - Gently remove the roses from their packaging to avoid damaging the petals or stems.
  2. Hydrate Immediately - Trim the stems at a 45-degree angle under running water using clean, sharp scissors or floral shears. This improves water uptake and prevents air blockages.
  3. Remove Leaves - Strip away any leaves that would sit below the waterline to prevent bacterial growth in the vase.
  4. Use Clean Water and Floral Food - Fill a clean vase with fresh water and add the provided floral food, mixing it thoroughly to nourish the roses.
  5. Maintain Proper Temperature - Keep the roses in a cool, shaded area away from direct sunlight, drafts, and extreme heat to extend their freshness.
  6. Refresh Daily - Change the vase water and re-cut the stems every 1-2 days for optimal hydration and longevity.
  7. Storage Considerations - If the roses will be used for an event, store them in a cool room until ready for display.

By properly caring for luxurious orange roses, you can ensure they remain a breathtaking addition to your wedding or event decor.

Arranging Tips

Tips for Designing Luxurious Fresh Cut Orange Roses for Weddings and Events

  1. Select Complementary Colors - Pair orange roses with shades that enhance their vibrant hue, such as deep reds, soft peaches, or creamy whites. These combinations create a harmonious and elegant floral arrangement.
  2. Play with Textures - Incorporate a mix of greenery and other flowers, such as eucalyptus, dusty miller, or baby's breath, to add depth and texture to your designs.
  3. Choose the Right Vases and Containers - Opt for vases or centerpieces in neutral tones like gold, silver, or clear glass, allowing the vivid orange roses to stand out as the focal point.
  4. Use Different Heights and Layers - Arrange the flowers at varying heights to create a more dynamic and visually interesting design. Adding layers within the arrangement can make the display feel fuller and more luxurious.
  5. Include Subtle Accents - Enhance the beauty of the roses by using subtle decorative elements such as ribbons, crystals, or candles that complement the event's theme and color scheme.
  6. Focus on Lighting - Ensure proper lighting is used to highlight the vibrant color of the roses. Soft, warm lighting can create a romantic and inviting ambiance.

With careful planning and attention to detail, your orange rose arrangements can transform any wedding or event into a truly luxurious and memorable experience.

Tips for ordering
  • We recommend that most flowers be scheduled to be delivered 2-3 days prior to an event. All flowers are harvested just prior to delivery.
  • Delicate flowers such as Lily of the Valley, Gardenias, and Stephanotis are best when delivered 1-2 days before the event.
  • Iris have a short vase life so the delivery should be scheduled 2 days prior to your event.
  • Lotus have a short vase life so they need to be ordered 1-2 days prior to events.
  • Peonies and Ranunculus may take longer to open during cold months. Schedule delivery of these flowers 3-4 days prior to your event.
  • Alstroemeria, Gladiolus, Agapanthus, Stars of Bethlehem, Sunflowers, and Lilies may require at least 3 days for blooming. Consider scheduling delivery of these flowers 3-4 days before your event.
  • Blooming branches for Jan and Feb deliveries should be scheduled for delivery at least 7 - 10 days before your event to permit adequate blooming. Expect blooming in 10 days with cold weather. For March and later, a 4-5 day lead time before your wedding or event is suggested for proper blooming.
  • Pumpkin branches schedule delivery 2 to 3 days prior to your event.
  • For Manzanita branches, if you would like the farm to remove the leaves, this needs to be requested in advance.
