Care & Handling

Care & Handling for Queen Mary Hot Pink Roses
Upon arrival, carefully unpack your Queen Mary Hot Pink Roses and remove any foliage that will fall below the waterline. Using a clean floral knife or shears, recut stems at a 45-degree angle under lukewarm water to allow maximum hydration. Place immediately in a clean vase filled with fresh water and flower preservative. Avoid direct sunlight, heat, and cold drafts. These roses are known for their large heads, so give them ample space to open fully. Change the water every 48 hours and recut the stems to prevent bacteria build-up. Allow the blooms to hydrate for 6–12 hours before using in final arrangements. Properly cared for, these vibrant roses will last up to 12 days and shine in every floral display with their signature Queen Mary brilliance.

Tips for ordering
  • We recommend that most flowers be scheduled to be delivered 2-3 days prior to an event. All flowers are harvested just prior to delivery.
  • Delicate flowers such as Lily of the Valley, Gardenias, and Stephanotis are best when delivered 1-2 days before the event.
  • Iris have a short vase life so the delivery should be scheduled 2 days prior to your event.
  • Lotus have a short vase life so they need to be ordered 1-2 days prior to events.
  • Peonies and Ranunculus may take longer to open during cold months. Schedule delivery of these flowers 3-4 days prior to your event.
  • Alstroemeria, Gladiolus, Agapanthus, Stars of Bethlehem, Sunflowers, and Lilies may require at least 3 days for blooming. Consider scheduling delivery of these flowers 3-4 days before your event.
  • Blooming branches for Jan and Feb deliveries should be scheduled for delivery at least 7 - 10 days before your event to permit adequate blooming. Expect blooming in 10 days with cold weather. For March and later, a 4-5 day lead time before your wedding or event is suggested for proper blooming.
  • Pumpkin branches schedule delivery 2 to 3 days prior to your event.
  • For Manzanita branches, if you would like the farm to remove the leaves, this needs to be requested in advance.
If you are unsure what day to select, pick the best available date you can, we suggest 3 days prior to the event. OR you can contact our flower care experts by chat or email to help you decide which date is best for you.
