Designing Tips

Designing Tips for Dyed Green Roses

  • Use as a Statement Flower: Their vibrant green hue works beautifully in St. Patrick’s Day, eco-themed, or modern tropical arrangements.
  • Pair with Contrasting Colors: Works stunningly with white, cream, blush, or even deep purple blooms.
  • Texture Balancing: Combine with soft petals (e.g., ranunculus or lisianthus) or hardy greens like eucalyptus or dusty miller.
  • Contemporary Vibe: Incorporate into geometric centerpieces or minimalist bouquets for bold, editorial styling.
  • Wiring Optional: For bridal bouquets, use floral wire if stems feel weakened due to dyeing.

Care & Handling

Care & Handling for Dyed Green Roses

  1. Unpack Immediately: Remove roses from the box upon arrival and carefully cut straps.
  2. Hydrate Promptly: Recut stems at a 45° angle under clean, cool water and place in fresh floral solution.
  3. Use Gloves (Optional): To prevent color transfer from the dye, especially if stems were externally tinted.
  4. Remove Foliage Below Waterline: Prevents bacterial growth and maximizes vase life.
  5. Hydration Time: Allow 4–12 hours to fully hydrate in a cool, dark room (ideally 34–38°F).
  6. Avoid Direct Sunlight/Heat: Dyed roses are more sensitive to light and temperature. Store away from heat vents.
  7. Keep Water Clean: Replace water daily or use floral preservative to maintain vivid color and freshness.

Tips for ordering
  • We recommend that most flowers be scheduled to be delivered 2-3 days prior to an event. All flowers are harvested just prior to delivery.
  • Delicate flowers such as Lily of the Valley, Gardenias, and Stephanotis are best when delivered 1-2 days before the event.
  • Iris have a short vase life so the delivery should be scheduled 2 days prior to your event.
  • Lotus have a short vase life so they need to be ordered 1-2 days prior to events.
  • Peonies and Ranunculus may take longer to open during cold months. Schedule delivery of these flowers 3-4 days prior to your event.
  • Alstroemeria, Gladiolus, Agapanthus, Stars of Bethlehem, Sunflowers, and Lilies may require at least 3 days for blooming. Consider scheduling delivery of these flowers 3-4 days before your event.
  • Blooming branches for Jan and Feb deliveries should be scheduled for delivery at least 7 - 10 days before your event to permit adequate blooming. Expect blooming in 10 days with cold weather. For March and later, a 4-5 day lead time before your wedding or event is suggested for proper blooming.
  • Pumpkin branches schedule delivery 2 to 3 days prior to your event.
  • For Manzanita branches, if you would like the farm to remove the leaves, this needs to be requested in advance.
If you are unsure what day to select, pick the best available date you can, we suggest 3 days prior to the event. OR you can contact our flower care experts by chat or email to help you decide which date is best for you.
