Care & Handling – Lola Hot Pink Rose

Unpacking & Hydration:

  • Unbox your roses immediately upon delivery.
  • Remove packaging carefully to avoid damaging petals or stems.
  • Recut each stem at a 45° angle under clean running water.
  • Strip any foliage that falls below the waterline to prevent bacteria.
  • Place stems in clean buckets filled with fresh, cool water and floral preservative.

Hydration Time:

  • Allow roses to hydrate for 8 to 12 hours in a cool, shaded area.
  • Ensure stems are upright and not overcrowded to allow full opening.

Storage Conditions:

  • Store in a cool room away from direct sunlight, heat, or ripening fruits.
  • Ideal storage temperature: 34°F–50°F (1°C–10°C).

Daily Maintenance:

  • Refresh water and floral preservative daily.
  • Recut stems every 1–2 days to keep water uptake efficient.
  • Gently remove outer guard petals if needed once hydrated.

Designing Tips for Lola Hot Pink Roses

  • Bridal Bouquets: Pair Lola Roses with blush, ivory, or coral blooms for a romantic, balanced bouquet. Add greenery like Italian ruscus or dusty miller for texture.
  • Centerpieces: Create stunning table arrangements using tight bunches in clear or gold-accented vases. Add votive candles for added elegance.
  • Floral Arches & Installations: Use as a focal rose in arches or hanging installations with other hot pink, peach, or neutral-toned flowers.
  • Color Pairings: Lola’s hot pink pairs beautifully with pastels for spring weddings or with deep reds and burgundies for fall events.
  • Gifting: Wrap in kraft paper or white tissue with a satin ribbon for a luxurious and modern gift presentation.

Tips for ordering
  • We recommend that most flowers be scheduled to be delivered 2-3 days prior to an event. All flowers are harvested just prior to delivery.
  • Delicate flowers such as Lily of the Valley, Gardenias, and Stephanotis are best when delivered 1-2 days before the event.
  • Iris have a short vase life so the delivery should be scheduled 2 days prior to your event.
  • Lotus have a short vase life so they need to be ordered 1-2 days prior to events.
  • Peonies and Ranunculus may take longer to open during cold months. Schedule delivery of these flowers 3-4 days prior to your event.
  • Alstroemeria, Gladiolus, Agapanthus, Stars of Bethlehem, Sunflowers, and Lilies may require at least 3 days for blooming. Consider scheduling delivery of these flowers 3-4 days before your event.
  • Blooming branches for Jan and Feb deliveries should be scheduled for delivery at least 7 - 10 days before your event to permit adequate blooming. Expect blooming in 10 days with cold weather. For March and later, a 4-5 day lead time before your wedding or event is suggested for proper blooming.
  • Pumpkin branches schedule delivery 2 to 3 days prior to your event.
  • For Manzanita branches, if you would like the farm to remove the leaves, this needs to be requested in advance.
If you are unsure what day to select, pick the best available date you can, we suggest 3 days prior to the event. OR you can contact our flower care experts by chat or email to help you decide which date is best for you.
