Arranging Tips

Design Like a Floral Pro: Arranging Tips for Be Sweet Roses

1. Start with a Clean Cut & Hydration

Trim stems at a 45° angle under running water and hydrate in clean buckets with floral preservative for 6–8 hours. This helps open the blooms and gives them that designer “fluff.”

2. Use the Rule of 3

Stick to three tones or textures: Be Sweet roses as your focal flower, soft filler like baby’s breath or wax flower, and a touch of greenery like eucalyptus or ruscus to add movement.

3. Spiral Your Stems

Hold one rose in the center, then add stems diagonally around it in a spiral. This technique creates that perfectly round, airy bouquet you see in pro wedding magazines.

4. Layer with Purpose

Place your larger blooms toward the center and smaller or slightly open buds on the outer edges to build depth — like painting with petals.

5. Don’t Overcrowd

Allow spacing between the roses to let each bloom shine. Be Sweet roses have beautiful petal spirals—show them off!

6. Choose the Right Vase or Wrap

For centerpieces, opt for round vases or compote bowls with floral foam or chicken wire for support. For handheld bouquets, finish with a soft satin ribbon wrap and pin in place for a bridal-ready look.

7. Mist, Chill, and Glow

Lightly mist your finished arrangement and store in a cool space until event time. Avoid direct sunlight or fans—your roses will stay fresh and photo-ready!

Bonus Tip:

For a luxurious touch, reflex a few rose petals (gently roll back the outer petals) to give a fuller, garden-style appearance — a favorite trick among top wedding florists.

Flower Care

Be Sweet Roses – Bulk Care & Handling Instructions

To ensure your Be Sweet light pink roses arrive fresh and bloom beautifully for your big day, follow these simple yet essential care steps:

Upon Arrival:

  • Unpack immediately. Carefully remove roses from the box.

  • Leave sleeves on during hydration to support stem structure while rehydrating.

  • Remove any foliage that falls below the water line to prevent bacteria.

Hydration Prep:

  1. Fill clean buckets with cool, fresh water and add flower food (included with your order or use a floral preservative).

  2. Using clean floral shears, cut each stem at a 45° angle underwater to prevent air blockage.

  3. Place the stems in water immediately, ensuring no leaves are submerged.

Hydration Time:

  • Hydrate for 6–12 hours (or overnight) in a cool, dark room (ideally between 36–50°F or 2–10°C).

  • After hydration, remove sleeves gently and allow the roses to breathe and open naturally.

Flower Opening Tips:

  • Be Sweet roses typically take 1–2 days to fully bloom.

  • To accelerate opening, move them to a warmer room with indirect light for a few hours.

Ongoing Care:

  • Change water every 24–48 hours.

  • Recut stems every 2 days.

  • Keep arrangements away from direct sunlight, drafts, or fruit (ethylene gas shortens vase life).

Pro Tip:

If roses look soft after shipping, give them time! With proper hydration and patience, they will perk up and bloom beautifully within 12–24 hours.

Whole Blossoms Guarantee:

Your roses are shipped farm-fresh and hand-selected. Follow these care tips and your Be Sweet roses will be picture-perfect for your event!

Tips for ordering
  • We recommend that most flowers be scheduled to be delivered 2-3 days prior to an event. All flowers are harvested just prior to delivery.
  • Delicate flowers such as Lily of the Valley, Gardenias, and Stephanotis are best when delivered 1-2 days before the event.
  • Iris have a short vase life so the delivery should be scheduled 2 days prior to your event.
  • Lotus have a short vase life so they need to be ordered 1-2 days prior to events.
  • Peonies and Ranunculus may take longer to open during cold months. Schedule delivery of these flowers 3-4 days prior to your event.
  • Alstroemeria, Gladiolus, Agapanthus, Stars of Bethlehem, Sunflowers, and Lilies may require at least 3 days for blooming. Consider scheduling delivery of these flowers 3-4 days before your event.
  • Blooming branches for Jan and Feb deliveries should be scheduled for delivery at least 7 - 10 days before your event to permit adequate blooming. Expect blooming in 10 days with cold weather. For March and later, a 4-5 day lead time before your wedding or event is suggested for proper blooming.
  • Pumpkin branches schedule delivery 2 to 3 days prior to your event.
  • For Manzanita branches, if you would like the farm to remove the leaves, this needs to be requested in advance.
If you are unsure what day to select, pick the best available date you can, we suggest 3 days prior to the event. OR you can contact our flower care experts by chat or email to help you decide which date is best for you.
