Care & Handling

Care & Handling for Berry Pink Garden Crimson Spell Roses

  1. Unpack with Care: Upon receiving your roses, gently remove the packaging and inspect each bloom for freshness.
  2. Hydrate Immediately: Cut 1-2 inches off the stems at a 45-degree angle while holding them under water to maximize water absorption. Immediately place them in a clean vase or bucket filled with fresh water and the provided flower food.
  3. Water Maintenance: Change the water every 2-3 days to keep it clean and prevent bacterial growth. Re-trim the stems with each water change to maintain hydration.
  4. Store in a Cool Environment: Keep your roses in a cool area, away from heat, direct sunlight, and ripening fruits, which emit ethylene gas and can shorten the life of the blooms.
  5. Remove Guard Petals: Gently peel off the outer guard petals, which are often used to protect the rose during shipping. This will reveal the pristine inner petals.
  6. Monitor Blooming: If your roses arrive in a tight bud form, allow them to gradually open by keeping them at room temperature in indirect sunlight.

By following these steps, your Berry Pink Garden Crimson Spell roses will remain fresh and beautiful for up to 7-10 days, making them perfect for weddings and other special events.

Tips for ordering
  • We recommend that most flowers be scheduled to be delivered 2-3 days prior to an event. All flowers are harvested just prior to delivery.
  • Delicate flowers such as Lily of the Valley, Gardenias, and Stephanotis are best when delivered 1-2 days before the event.
  • Iris have a short vase life so the delivery should be scheduled 2 days prior to your event.
  • Lotus have a short vase life so they need to be ordered 1-2 days prior to events.
  • Peonies and Ranunculus may take longer to open during cold months. Schedule delivery of these flowers 3-4 days prior to your event.
  • Alstroemeria, Gladiolus, Agapanthus, Stars of Bethlehem, Sunflowers, and Lilies may require at least 3 days for blooming. Consider scheduling delivery of these flowers 3-4 days before your event.
  • Blooming branches for Jan and Feb deliveries should be scheduled for delivery at least 7 - 10 days before your event to permit adequate blooming. Expect blooming in 10 days with cold weather. For March and later, a 4-5 day lead time before your wedding or event is suggested for proper blooming.
  • Pumpkin branches schedule delivery 2 to 3 days prior to your event.
  • For Manzanita branches, if you would like the farm to remove the leaves, this needs to be requested in advance.
If you are unsure what day to select, pick the best available date you can, we suggest 3 days prior to the event. OR you can contact our flower care experts by chat or email to help you decide which date is best for you.
