Care & Handling

Care & Handling – Princess Maya Ivory White Garden Rose:

To ensure your Princess Maya Ivory White Garden Roses arrive and open beautifully, begin by trimming the stems at a 45° angle under running water. Remove any foliage that falls below the water line to prevent bacterial growth. Hydrate the roses in clean containers filled with lukewarm water and high-quality floral preservative. Allow 4–6 hours of hydration in a cool, shaded area before designing. These garden roses may appear tight upon arrival but will bloom fully over the next 24–48 hours. For best performance, store Princess Maya Ivory Roses away from direct sunlight, drafts, or heat sources. Change the water daily, re-trim stems every 2 days, and gently support heavy blooms if needed. With care, these soft ivory roses will bring refined elegance to your arrangements, adding a signature touch to weddings and luxury events.

Tips for ordering
  • We recommend that most flowers be scheduled to be delivered 2-3 days prior to an event. All flowers are harvested just prior to delivery.
  • Delicate flowers such as Lily of the Valley, Gardenias, and Stephanotis are best when delivered 1-2 days before the event.
  • Iris have a short vase life so the delivery should be scheduled 2 days prior to your event.
  • Lotus have a short vase life so they need to be ordered 1-2 days prior to events.
  • Peonies and Ranunculus may take longer to open during cold months. Schedule delivery of these flowers 3-4 days prior to your event.
  • Alstroemeria, Gladiolus, Agapanthus, Stars of Bethlehem, Sunflowers, and Lilies may require at least 3 days for blooming. Consider scheduling delivery of these flowers 3-4 days before your event.
  • Blooming branches for Jan and Feb deliveries should be scheduled for delivery at least 7 - 10 days before your event to permit adequate blooming. Expect blooming in 10 days with cold weather. For March and later, a 4-5 day lead time before your wedding or event is suggested for proper blooming.
  • Pumpkin branches schedule delivery 2 to 3 days prior to your event.
  • For Manzanita branches, if you would like the farm to remove the leaves, this needs to be requested in advance.
If you are unsure what day to select, pick the best available date you can, we suggest 3 days prior to the event. OR you can contact our flower care experts by chat or email to help you decide which date is best for you.
