Care & Handling

Care & Handling for Queen’s Crown Pink Garden Rose
Upon arrival, remove your Queen’s Crown Pink Garden Roses from their packaging and gently strip off any foliage below the waterline. Recut each stem at a 45-degree angle under lukewarm, clean water to allow maximum hydration. Place the blooms into a clean vase filled with fresh water and floral preservative. These garden-style roses have densely layered petals, so avoid crowding them in arrangements to ensure proper air circulation and bloom opening. Do not mist the blooms directly as their petal structure can trap moisture, which may lead to bruising. Store them in a cool, shaded area away from direct sunlight or heat sources. Replace the water every 48 hours and recut the stems slightly to maintain water flow. With proper care, your Queen’s Crown roses will stay fresh and lovely for 7–12 days, adding a soft, regal flair to your floral design.

Tips for ordering
  • We recommend that most flowers be scheduled to be delivered 2-3 days prior to an event. All flowers are harvested just prior to delivery.
  • Delicate flowers such as Lily of the Valley, Gardenias, and Stephanotis are best when delivered 1-2 days before the event.
  • Iris have a short vase life so the delivery should be scheduled 2 days prior to your event.
  • Lotus have a short vase life so they need to be ordered 1-2 days prior to events.
  • Peonies and Ranunculus may take longer to open during cold months. Schedule delivery of these flowers 3-4 days prior to your event.
  • Alstroemeria, Gladiolus, Agapanthus, Stars of Bethlehem, Sunflowers, and Lilies may require at least 3 days for blooming. Consider scheduling delivery of these flowers 3-4 days before your event.
  • Blooming branches for Jan and Feb deliveries should be scheduled for delivery at least 7 - 10 days before your event to permit adequate blooming. Expect blooming in 10 days with cold weather. For March and later, a 4-5 day lead time before your wedding or event is suggested for proper blooming.
  • Pumpkin branches schedule delivery 2 to 3 days prior to your event.
  • For Manzanita branches, if you would like the farm to remove the leaves, this needs to be requested in advance.
If you are unsure what day to select, pick the best available date you can, we suggest 3 days prior to the event. OR you can contact our flower care experts by chat or email to help you decide which date is best for you.
