Care & Handling

Care & Handling – Princess Hitomi Pink Garden Rose

To preserve the beauty of your Princess Hitomi Pink Garden Roses, start by trimming the stems at a 45° angle under clean water immediately upon arrival. Remove any foliage that will sit below the waterline to prevent bacterial growth. Place the roses in a clean vase or floral bucket filled with fresh, lukewarm water and flower preservative.

Allow 4–6 hours for proper hydration in a cool, shaded environment—preferably 36–38°F. These blooms open gracefully over time, showcasing their intricate, heart-shaped petals, so plan your floral design 1–2 days in advance of the event. For maximum vase life, change the water daily and re-trim the stems every 24–48 hours.

Princess Hitomi Pink Garden Roses are delicate yet resilient and benefit from proper humidity and airflow. Avoid direct sunlight, drafts, or heat. With optimal care, these premium blooms will stay stunning for 7–10 days, offering both elegance and a hint of lavender fragrance.

Tips for ordering
  • We recommend that most flowers be scheduled to be delivered 2-3 days prior to an event. All flowers are harvested just prior to delivery.
  • Delicate flowers such as Lily of the Valley, Gardenias, and Stephanotis are best when delivered 1-2 days before the event.
  • Iris have a short vase life so the delivery should be scheduled 2 days prior to your event.
  • Lotus have a short vase life so they need to be ordered 1-2 days prior to events.
  • Peonies and Ranunculus may take longer to open during cold months. Schedule delivery of these flowers 3-4 days prior to your event.
  • Alstroemeria, Gladiolus, Agapanthus, Stars of Bethlehem, Sunflowers, and Lilies may require at least 3 days for blooming. Consider scheduling delivery of these flowers 3-4 days before your event.
  • Blooming branches for Jan and Feb deliveries should be scheduled for delivery at least 7 - 10 days before your event to permit adequate blooming. Expect blooming in 10 days with cold weather. For March and later, a 4-5 day lead time before your wedding or event is suggested for proper blooming.
  • Pumpkin branches schedule delivery 2 to 3 days prior to your event.
  • For Manzanita branches, if you would like the farm to remove the leaves, this needs to be requested in advance.
If you are unsure what day to select, pick the best available date you can, we suggest 3 days prior to the event. OR you can contact our flower care experts by chat or email to help you decide which date is best for you.
