Care and Handling for White & Orange Roses Bouquets in Bulk

Proper care and handling are crucial to ensure the longevity and freshness of your white and orange roses, especially when working with them in bulk. Here are some essential tips to follow:

  1. Unpacking with Care: Remove the roses from their packaging as soon as they arrive. Be gentle while handling the stems and petals to avoid any damage.
  2. Hydration: Trim 1-2 inches off the bottom of each stem at a 45-degree angle using sharp, sterilized shears. Immediately place the roses in a clean container filled with fresh, warm water mixed with flower food.
  3. Temperature Control: Store the roses in a cool, shaded area, away from direct sunlight, drafts, or heat sources. Ideal storage temperature is between 34°F and 36°F until they are ready to be used.
  4. Removing Foliage: Strip away any leaves that fall below the waterline to prevent bacterial growth and to keep the water fresh.
  5. Hydration & Refreshing: Change the water every 1-2 days and re-trim the stems slightly each time to maintain proper hydration.
  6. Acclimation Before Use: Allow the roses to acclimate to room temperature a few hours before they are arranged or displayed. This helps them open up beautifully and look their best.

By following these steps, you can ensure that your white and orange roses stay vibrant and stunning, making a lasting impression for any event or occasion.

Tips for ordering
  • We recommend that most flowers be scheduled to be delivered 2-3 days prior to an event. All flowers are harvested just prior to delivery.
  • Delicate flowers such as Lily of the Valley, Gardenias, and Stephanotis are best when delivered 1-2 days before the event.
  • Iris have a short vase life so the delivery should be scheduled 2 days prior to your event.
  • Lotus have a short vase life so they need to be ordered 1-2 days prior to events.
  • Peonies and Ranunculus may take longer to open during cold months. Schedule delivery of these flowers 3-4 days prior to your event.
  • Alstroemeria, Gladiolus, Agapanthus, Stars of Bethlehem, Sunflowers, and Lilies may require at least 3 days for blooming. Consider scheduling delivery of these flowers 3-4 days before your event.
  • Blooming branches for Jan and Feb deliveries should be scheduled for delivery at least 7 - 10 days before your event to permit adequate blooming. Expect blooming in 10 days with cold weather. For March and later, a 4-5 day lead time before your wedding or event is suggested for proper blooming.
  • Pumpkin branches schedule delivery 2 to 3 days prior to your event.
  • For Manzanita branches, if you would like the farm to remove the leaves, this needs to be requested in advance.
If you are unsure what day to select, pick the best available date you can, we suggest 3 days prior to the event. OR you can contact our flower care experts by chat or email to help you decide which date is best for you.
