Designing Tips for Pink Wax Flower – from Whole Blossoms

Pink wax flower is loved for its dainty, five-petal blooms and long-lasting nature, making it a staple in floral design. Its soft pink hue and airy structure enhance arrangements with natural charm, texture, and movement.

  • Textural Accent: Use pink wax flower as a filler to soften and fill spaces in bouquets, centerpieces, and floral crowns. Its branching stems add dimension and airiness.
  • Romantic & Rustic Themes: Perfect for vintage, garden, or rustic weddings—pair it with roses, peonies, ranunculus, and eucalyptus for soft, romantic arrangements.
  • Fragrant Touch: Its subtle citrus scent adds an aromatic layer to floral installations, ideal for intimate events or close-up arrangements like corsages and boutonnieres.
  • Delicate Highlights: Tuck stems into bridal bouquets or halo crowns for a naturally whimsical effect. Also beautiful when cascading from arches or garlands.
  • Color Harmony: Works well with blush tones, lavender, white, and burgundy palettes. For a bold contrast, mix with protea or bright garden roses.
  • Wearable Florals: Ideal for hairpieces, buttonholes, wrist corsages, and flower girl crowns due to its petite blooms and flexible stems.

Care & Handling for Pink Wax Flower – from Whole Blossoms

To ensure long-lasting beauty and freshness, follow these care guidelines for pink wax flower:

Upon Arrival:

  • Unpack Gently: Remove bunches carefully and allow them to breathe. Inspect for any wilting or broken stems.
  • Re-cut Stems: Cut ½ to 1 inch off the base of each stem at a 45° angle under clean, running water.

Hydration:

  • Place in Fresh Water: Use a clean bucket or vase filled with room-temperature water and floral preservative.
  • Hydrate for 4–6 Hours: Allow flowers to hydrate in a cool, shaded area before use in design work.

Storage:

  • Store at 36–46°F: Keep in a floral cooler or refrigerated space away from direct sunlight or heating vents.
  • Change Water Every 2 Days: Refresh the water and re-cut stems every 2–3 days to extend vase life.
  • Avoid Overcrowding: Ensure airflow between stems to prevent mold and encourage even hydration.
  • Handle with Care: While sturdy, the small blooms and branching stems can snap under pressure—avoid squeezing or bending stems excessively.
  • Avoid Ethylene Gas: Keep away from ripening fruit and smoke, which can shorten bloom life.

Tips for ordering
  • We recommend that most flowers be scheduled to be delivered 2-3 days prior to an event. All flowers are harvested just prior to delivery.

  • Iris have a short vase life so the delivery should be scheduled 2 days prior to your event.
  • Lotus have a short vase life so they need to be ordered 1-2 days prior to events.
  • Peonies and Ranunculus may take longer to open during cold months. Schedule delivery of these flowers 3-4 days prior to your event.

  • Blooming branches for Jan and Feb deliveries should be scheduled for delivery at least 7 - 10 days before your event to permit adequate blooming. Expect blooming in 10 days with cold weather. For March and later, a 4-5 day lead time before your wedding or event is suggested for proper blooming.
  • Pumpkin branches schedule delivery 2 to 3 days prior to your event.
