Q & A

Q1: Why are Lavender Sweet Pea Flowers ideal for premium wedding arrangements?
A: Their delicate ruffled petals and romantic lavender hue make them a perfect match for bridal bouquets, ceremony arches, and reception table arrangements, offering a soft and dreamy aesthetic.

Q2: How are Lavender Sweet Peas packaged for bulk delivery?
A: These flowers are carefully packed in protective sleeves to preserve their form and shipped with hydration wraps to ensure freshness upon arrival, ideal for bulk or wholesale wedding flower orders.

Q3: Do Lavender Sweet Peas mix well with other blooms in arrangements?
A: Absolutely. They blend beautifully with roses, ranunculus, lisianthus, and filler greens like eucalyptus, enhancing both romantic and rustic floral themes for weddings or special events.

Q4: When should I schedule delivery for an event?
A: We recommend delivery 2–3 days prior to your event to allow proper hydration and conditioning. Lavender sweet peas need time to open fully and reach their peak appearance.

Care & Handling

Upon Receiving Your Lavender Sweet Peas:

  • Open the box immediately and remove any protective packaging.
  • Cut each stem at a sharp diagonal (about ½ inch from the base) using sanitized floral shears.
  • Place stems into a clean bucket filled with lukewarm water and flower food.
  • Allow to hydrate in a cool room for 4–6 hours before arranging.

Storage Guidelines:

  • Keep them in a floral cooler or refrigerated space (optimal temp: 34°F–38°F).
  • Store upright in deep containers with plenty of space to avoid bruising delicate petals.
  • Avoid storing near ripening fruit or vegetables, which release ethylene gas.

Maintenance Tips:

  • Recut stems every other day to improve water uptake.
  • Change water daily and replenish with clean water + floral preservative.
  • Gently remove any wilted blooms or foliage to maintain freshness.

Design Tips:

  • For Brides: Use lavender sweet peas in cascading bridal bouquets with garden roses and dusty miller for a lush and vintage feel.
  • For Centerpieces: Add volume and height by interspersing sweet peas with spray roses and wax flowers in soft-toned compotes or clear glass vases.
  • For Gifting: Pair them with white peonies or pale pink ranunculus for a luxurious and thoughtful floral gift.
  • For Events: Perfect for arch draping, sweetheart tables, and hanging floral installations, giving events a light and airy ambiance.

Pro Tips:

  • Handle stems gently — they’re hollow and fragile.
  • Support stems using thin floral wire if needed in arrangements with height.
  • Mist lightly throughout the day for outdoor events to maintain petal hydration.
  • Avoid overcrowding — give blooms room to breathe for a fuller, more natural look.

Tips for ordering
  • We recommend that most flowers be scheduled to be delivered 2-3 days prior to an event. All flowers are harvested just prior to delivery.
  • Delicate flowers such as Lily of the Valley, Gardenias, and Stephanotis are best when delivered 1-2 days before the event.
  • Iris have a short vase life so the delivery should be scheduled 2 days prior to your event.
  • Lotus have a short vase life so they need to be ordered 1-2 days prior to events.
  • Peonies and Ranunculus may take longer to open during cold months. Schedule delivery of these flowers 3-4 days prior to your event.
  • Alstroemeria, Gladiolus, Agapanthus, Stars of Bethlehem, Sunflowers, and Lilies may require at least 3 days for blooming. Consider scheduling delivery of these flowers 3-4 days before your event.
  • Blooming branches for Jan and Feb deliveries should be scheduled for delivery at least 7 - 10 days before your event to permit adequate blooming. Expect blooming in 10 days with cold weather. For March and later, a 4-5 day lead time before your wedding or event is suggested for proper blooming.
  • Pumpkin branches schedule delivery 2 to 3 days prior to your event.
  • For Manzanita branches, if you would like the farm to remove the leaves, this needs to be requested in advance.
If you are unsure what day to select, pick the best available date you can, we suggest 3 days prior to the event. OR you can contact our flower care experts by chat or email to help you decide which date is best for you.
