Q & A

Q: Why are pink sweet pea flowers popular for weddings and events?
A: Pink sweet peas are prized for their delicate ruffled petals, romantic color, and subtle fragrance. Their symbolism of gratitude and bliss makes them a favorite among wedding flowers, especially for brides seeking soft, vintage-inspired themes. They add premium elegance to bulk flower orders for weddings, gifts, and upscale events.

Q: How many stems are ideal for an arrangement or bouquet?
A: For a standard bridal bouquet, around 15–20 stems of pink sweet peas provide fullness and texture. For larger event arrangements or wholesale flower use, 50–100 stems work well for centerpieces, installations, or floral runners.

Care & Handling

Unpacking & Preparation:

  • Open box immediately upon arrival.
  • Remove all packaging and inspect blooms.
  • Cut stems at a 45-degree angle under clean, running water.
  • Remove any leaves below the waterline to prevent bacteria.
  • Place stems in a clean vase or bucket with fresh, cool water and floral preservative.

Hydration:

  • Hydrate for at least 4–6 hours before designing.
  • Keep in a cool area away from direct sunlight, drafts, or fruits (which emit ethylene gas).

Storage:

  • Ideal temperature: 36°F–38°F. Avoid freezing or excessive heat.
  • Refresh water daily and re-cut stems if needed.

Design Tips:

  • Pair pink sweet peas with white ranunculus, blush roses, or lisianthus for romantic wedding bouquets.
  • Great for cascading bridal designs, corsages, or as filler in larger bulk flower arrangements.
  • Their natural arch and lightweight stems make them ideal for creating movement in centerpieces or arch installations.
  • For gifting, bundle 10–15 stems with soft greenery like eucalyptus for an affordable yet premium floral gift.

What our customers say...

Tips for ordering
  • We recommend that most flowers be scheduled to be delivered 2-3 days prior to an event. All flowers are harvested just prior to delivery.
  • Delicate flowers such as Lily of the Valley, Gardenias, and Stephanotis are best when delivered 1-2 days before the event.
  • Iris have a short vase life so the delivery should be scheduled 2 days prior to your event.
  • Lotus have a short vase life so they need to be ordered 1-2 days prior to events.
  • Peonies and Ranunculus may take longer to open during cold months. Schedule delivery of these flowers 3-4 days prior to your event.
  • Alstroemeria, Gladiolus, Agapanthus, Stars of Bethlehem, Sunflowers, and Lilies may require at least 3 days for blooming. Consider scheduling delivery of these flowers 3-4 days before your event.
  • Blooming branches for Jan and Feb deliveries should be scheduled for delivery at least 7 - 10 days before your event to permit adequate blooming. Expect blooming in 10 days with cold weather. For March and later, a 4-5 day lead time before your wedding or event is suggested for proper blooming.
  • Pumpkin branches schedule delivery 2 to 3 days prior to your event.
  • For Manzanita branches, if you would like the farm to remove the leaves, this needs to be requested in advance.
If you are unsure what day to select, pick the best available date you can, we suggest 3 days prior to the event. OR you can contact our flower care experts by chat or email to help you decide which date is best for you.
