Q & A

Q&A – Aloe Succulent Jucunda (Fresh Cut)

Q: What is Aloe Succulent Jucunda used for?
A: It's perfect for modern bouquets, centerpieces, wedding florals, succulent bars, or potted arrangements. Great for minimalist and rustic designs.

Q: Do these succulents come with roots?
A: No, these are fresh-cut Aloe succulents without roots, ideal for floral arrangements or planting.

Q: How long will Aloe Jucunda last out of soil or water?
A: They last up to 2 weeks fresh, and longer if used in dry arrangements or replanted after callousing.

Q: Can I replant these?
A: Yes, once calloused, they can be planted into soil to root and grow like a typical succulent.

Q: Do I need to mist or water the plant heads?
A: No misting is necessary. Keep them dry and cool. Excess moisture may cause rot.

Q: Are these safe to use with other fresh flowers?
A: Absolutely. Aloe succulents pair beautifully with roses, ranunculus, eucalyptus, and other blooms in fresh floral designs.

Care & Handling

Care & Handling for Aloe Succulent Jucunda (Fresh Cut)

1. Unpack Immediately:
Remove the succulents from the box upon delivery. Handle carefully to avoid breaking or bruising the fleshy leaves.

2. No Water Needed:
Unlike traditional cut flowers, fresh-cut succulents do not require water in the usual sense. Do not place stems in water. These are hardy and store moisture in their leaves.

3. Store in a Cool, Dry Location:
Keep your Aloe Jucunda in a cool, shaded area with plenty of air circulation. Avoid high humidity and direct sunlight until ready to use.

4. Allow to Callous (Optional):
If the cut end will be planted or inserted into a bouquet, let it air-dry for 24–48 hours to form a natural callous. This prevents rot.

5. Prepare for Arranging:
Use floral wire and wooden picks for bouquets or corsages. Secure carefully through the base without damaging the leaf body.

6. Longevity:
Fresh cut Aloe Jucunda can last up to 2 weeks without water under proper care. If replanting, they can root and continue growing.

Tips for ordering
  • We recommend that most flowers be scheduled to be delivered 2-3 days prior to an event. All flowers are harvested just prior to delivery.
  • Delicate flowers such as Lily of the Valley, Gardenias, and Stephanotis are best when delivered 1-2 days before the event.
  • Iris have a short vase life so the delivery should be scheduled 2 days prior to your event.
  • Lotus have a short vase life so they need to be ordered 1-2 days prior to events.
  • Peonies and Ranunculus may take longer to open during cold months. Schedule delivery of these flowers 3-4 days prior to your event.
  • Alstroemeria, Gladiolus, Agapanthus, Stars of Bethlehem, Sunflowers, and Lilies may require at least 3 days for blooming. Consider scheduling delivery of these flowers 3-4 days before your event.
  • Blooming branches for Jan and Feb deliveries should be scheduled for delivery at least 7 - 10 days before your event to permit adequate blooming. Expect blooming in 10 days with cold weather. For March and later, a 4-5 day lead time before your wedding or event is suggested for proper blooming.
  • Pumpkin branches schedule delivery 2 to 3 days prior to your event.
  • For Manzanita branches, if you would like the farm to remove the leaves, this needs to be requested in advance.
If you are unsure what day to select, pick the best available date you can, we suggest 3 days prior to the event. OR you can contact our flower care experts by chat or email to help you decide which date is best for you.
