Tips to Decorate

When using red and bicolor white rose bouquets as centerpieces for weddings, events, Valentine's Day, or Mother's Day, there are several tips to enhance their beauty and create stunning displays. Start by selecting complementary vases or containers that match the theme of your event—crystal or glass vases offer a timeless elegance, while rustic wooden boxes or metallic urns bring a more contemporary or vintage charm. Incorporate greenery such as eucalyptus, ferns, or seasonal foliage to add texture and contrast to the roses. For weddings or formal events, consider including accents like candles, fairy lights, or pearl strands around the arrangement to heighten the romantic ambiance. When decorating for Valentine’s Day or Mother’s Day, pair the roses with elements like ribbons, heart-shaped embellishments, or personalized mementos to make the display more meaningful. Arrange the roses at varying heights to create depth, ensuring each flower is showcased effectively. Finally, place the centerpieces at eye-level on the table to ensure they draw attention without obstructing conversations or views. A thoughtful arrangement with these tips will leave a memorable impression on guests.

Care

To care for and handle red and bicolor white rose bouquets in bulk, begin by unpacking them carefully upon delivery to avoid damaging the delicate petals. Place the roses in a clean container filled with lukewarm water mixed with flower food to ensure proper hydration. Remove any guard petals—outer petals that may seem discolored or damaged—as these are natural protective layers. Trim the stems at an angle of about 1 to 2 inches using a clean and sharp tool to allow maximum water uptake. Keep the roses in a cool, shaded place away from direct sunlight, drafts, or extreme heat. For optimal freshness, change the water and re-trim the stems every two days. Always handle the flowers gently and avoid overcrowding them to prevent crushing or bruising. With attentive care, your bulk roses will stay fresh, vibrant, and ready to make a lasting impression for any occasion.

Tips for ordering
  • We recommend that most flowers be scheduled to be delivered 2-3 days prior to an event. All flowers are harvested just prior to delivery.
  • Delicate flowers such as Lily of the Valley, Gardenias, and Stephanotis are best when delivered 1-2 days before the event.
  • Iris have a short vase life so the delivery should be scheduled 2 days prior to your event.
  • Lotus have a short vase life so they need to be ordered 1-2 days prior to events.
  • Peonies and Ranunculus may take longer to open during cold months. Schedule delivery of these flowers 3-4 days prior to your event.
  • Alstroemeria, Gladiolus, Agapanthus, Stars of Bethlehem, Sunflowers, and Lilies may require at least 3 days for blooming. Consider scheduling delivery of these flowers 3-4 days before your event.
  • Blooming branches for Jan and Feb deliveries should be scheduled for delivery at least 7 - 10 days before your event to permit adequate blooming. Expect blooming in 10 days with cold weather. For March and later, a 4-5 day lead time before your wedding or event is suggested for proper blooming.
  • Pumpkin branches schedule delivery 2 to 3 days prior to your event.
  • For Manzanita branches, if you would like the farm to remove the leaves, this needs to be requested in advance.
If you are unsure what day to select, pick the best available date you can, we suggest 3 days prior to the event. OR you can contact our flower care experts by chat or email to help you decide which date is best for you.
