Cream Ranunculus Care

Fresh cream ranunculus are delicate blooms that require attentive care to maintain their lush appearance and longevity. Here's how to ensure they remain fresh and stunning:

  • Immediate Inspection: Once the flowers arrive, inspect them right away. Look for any signs of transit stress, such as wilted petals or broken stems, and address these immediately.
  • Unpacking with Caution: Gently unpack the ranunculus in a clean, safe environment. Handle each stem with care to prevent bruising or damage.
  • Stem Trimming: Re-cut the stems at a 45-degree angle under running water to enhance water absorption, promoting healthier and longer-lasting blooms.
  • Hydration: Fill a vase or bucket with fresh water and add a floral preservative if available. Immediately place the trimmed stems in the water to encourage optimal hydration.
  • Storage Conditions: Store the hydrated ranunculus in a cool, dark place, ideally in a spot with controlled temperature away from drafts, direct sunlight, and heat sources. This preserves their freshness and prevents premature wilting.
  • Arrangement Readiness: When ready to arrange, gently handle each ranunculus, checking for consistency in color and size to ensure a harmonious display.
  • Regular Maintenance: Check the water level daily, replacing it as needed to keep bacteria at bay. Re-trim the stems every few days to enhance water uptake.

By adhering to these care and handling practices, your fresh cream ranunculus will continue to add elegance and beauty to any setting, ensuring they remain a highlight of your special occasion.
