Arranging Tips for Red Peonies: 

• Balance boldness: Red peonies are striking, so pair them with soft neutrals like white ranunculus, blush roses, or cream lisianthus to create balance.
• Use as focal blooms: Position red peonies centrally in bridal bouquets or centerpieces to draw attention and anchor the design.
• Add depth with greenery: Complement the rich hue with eucalyptus, ruscus, or ferns for texture and contrast.
• Mix with darker tones: For moody or evening events, blend with burgundy dahlias or black calla lilies.
• Choose the right vase: For table arrangements, use gold, black, or clear glass vases to enhance their elegance.
• Allow bloom time: Receive at least 4 days in advance to allow the peonies to fully open for peak beauty on the event day.

Care & Handling for Red Peonies (Allow 3-4 Days to Open):  

1. Unpack Immediately: Remove flowers from the box upon arrival. Cut straps and sleeves carefully to avoid damaging the blooms.
2. Rehydrate Promptly: Trim 1–2 inches off the stems at a 45° angle under clean, running water to ensure optimal hydration.
3. Use Clean Buckets: Place stems in sanitized containers filled with fresh, cool water mixed with floral preservative.
4. Remove Foliage: Strip any leaves that fall below the waterline to prevent bacterial growth.
5. Store Cool: Keep in a cool, shaded area (ideally 36–38°F) for the first 12 hours. Then bring to room temperature (65–72°F) to encourage opening.
6. Bloom Time: Peonies arrive in tight bud form. Allow at least 3-4 days at room temp for full blooming. Warmer environments speed up the process.
7. Hydrate Daily: Change water every 24 hours and re-cut stems to maintain freshness.
8. Design Ready: Once fully open, red peonies are ready for arranging. Use promptly for best appearance and vase life.
