Q & A

Q & A – Coral Peony Salmon Color

Q: When is the best time to order coral salmon peonies for an event?
A: Coral peonies are typically available from late spring through early summer. We recommend ordering 7–10 days in advance to ensure perfect bloom timing for your event.

Q: What color tone can I expect from these coral peonies?
A: Expect rich, sunset-inspired salmon hues with subtle pink-orange undertones. As they open, their color may soften into a warm peach.

Q: How many stems should I order for a medium centerpiece?
A: For a lush, full look, 5–7 stems per centerpiece is ideal. You can pair them with greenery or other filler flowers for added texture and volume.

Q: Are coral peonies fragrant?
A: Yes! Coral peonies offer a soft, sweet fragrance that enhances both their beauty and your atmosphere.

Q: Can I combine coral peonies with other colors in a bouquet?
A: Absolutely. They pair beautifully with blush pinks, creamy whites, and deep reds for dynamic, romantic arrangements.

Care & Handling

Care & Handling – Coral Peony Salmon Color

  1. Unpack Immediately: Upon arrival, carefully unpack your peonies. Remove all packaging and inspect each stem for quality.
  2. Hydration is Key: Cut stems at a diagonal under cool, clean water. Place in a clean vase or bucket filled with fresh water mixed with floral preservative.
  3. Cool Storage: Keep in a cool location away from direct sunlight, heat, or drafts. If storing overnight, refrigeration between 36–46°F is recommended (avoid fruits—ethylene gas can damage flowers).
  4. Bloom Timing: These peonies will arrive in a tight or semi-tight bud stage. Allow 24–48 hours to fully open. Warm rooms accelerate bloom; cooler rooms slow it down.
  5. Water Maintenance: Change water daily or at least every 48 hours. Re-cut stems slightly each time to maximize water uptake.
  6. Design Tip: To open blooms faster, place them in warmer water and a warmer room. For slower opening, store in a cooler space.
  7. Longevity: With proper care, coral salmon peonies can last 5–7 days in arrangements, making them ideal for weddings and special events.

Tips for ordering
  • We recommend that most flowers be scheduled to be delivered 2-3 days prior to an event. All flowers are harvested just prior to delivery.
  • Delicate flowers such as Lily of the Valley, Gardenias, and Stephanotis are best when delivered 1-2 days before the event.
  • Iris have a short vase life so the delivery should be scheduled 2 days prior to your event.
  • Lotus have a short vase life so they need to be ordered 1-2 days prior to events.
  • Peonies and Ranunculus may take longer to open during cold months. Schedule delivery of these flowers 3-4 days prior to your event.
  • Alstroemeria, Gladiolus, Agapanthus, Stars of Bethlehem, Sunflowers, and Lilies may require at least 3 days for blooming. Consider scheduling delivery of these flowers 3-4 days before your event.
  • Blooming branches for Jan and Feb deliveries should be scheduled for delivery at least 7 - 10 days before your event to permit adequate blooming. Expect blooming in 10 days with cold weather. For March and later, a 4-5 day lead time before your wedding or event is suggested for proper blooming.
  • Pumpkin branches schedule delivery 2 to 3 days prior to your event.
  • For Manzanita branches, if you would like the farm to remove the leaves, this needs to be requested in advance.
If you are unsure what day to select, pick the best available date you can, we suggest 3 days prior to the event. OR you can contact our flower care experts by chat or email to help you decide which date is best for you.
