Care & Handling

Care & Handling for Purple Hydrangea Green Yellow Hot Pink Tie Dye:
Unpack your Purple Hydrangea Green Yellow Hot Pink Tie Dye flowers immediately upon arrival. Trim the stems at an angle under water using a sharp knife, not scissors, to encourage maximum water absorption. Remove 2–3 inches of excess foliage and peel the base of the stem lightly to expose fresh tissue. Place the blooms in clean water with floral preservative in a cool, shaded area. Avoid direct sunlight and drafts. Hydrangeas are particularly thirsty and must remain well-hydrated—check water levels daily. If heads appear wilted, submerge them completely in cool water for 30–45 minutes to revive them. Avoid using hard water or water with high levels of fluoride, as this may reduce vase life. Tie-dye hydrangeas are dyed by hand, so minimal color transfer to hands or surfaces is normal; handle with care to avoid staining delicate fabrics. Store at 36–42°F until ready to use for best results.

Tips for ordering
  • We recommend that most flowers be scheduled to be delivered 2-3 days prior to an event. All flowers are harvested just prior to delivery.
  • Delicate flowers such as Lily of the Valley, Gardenias, and Stephanotis are best when delivered 1-2 days before the event.
  • Iris have a short vase life so the delivery should be scheduled 2 days prior to your event.
  • Lotus have a short vase life so they need to be ordered 1-2 days prior to events.
  • Peonies and Ranunculus may take longer to open during cold months. Schedule delivery of these flowers 3-4 days prior to your event.
  • Alstroemeria, Gladiolus, Agapanthus, Stars of Bethlehem, Sunflowers, and Lilies may require at least 3 days for blooming. Consider scheduling delivery of these flowers 3-4 days before your event.
  • Blooming branches for Jan and Feb deliveries should be scheduled for delivery at least 7 - 10 days before your event to permit adequate blooming. Expect blooming in 10 days with cold weather. For March and later, a 4-5 day lead time before your wedding or event is suggested for proper blooming.
  • Pumpkin branches schedule delivery 2 to 3 days prior to your event.
  • For Manzanita branches, if you would like the farm to remove the leaves, this needs to be requested in advance.
If you are unsure what day to select, pick the best available date you can, we suggest 3 days prior to the event. OR you can contact our flower care experts by chat or email to help you decide which date is best for you.
