Care & Handling

Care & Handling – Metallic Burgundy Airbrushed Hydrangea

To preserve the integrity of your Metallic Burgundy Airbrushed Hydrangea, begin by trimming the stems at a 45-degree angle and placing them in clean water. Avoid soaking or spraying the heads, as this may compromise the airbrushed coating. Keep them away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures to protect the deep metallic sheen. Store in a cool, shaded environment and allow 4–6 hours to hydrate before use. When designing, use dry hands or gloves to avoid transferring oils or moisture onto the petals. Recut stems and change water every 48 hours to maintain bloom health. These are decorative florals and not suitable for consumption. For arrangements requiring floral foam, use a low-absorption method to prevent water contact with the flower heads. These burgundy hydrangeas offer a vibrant, long-lasting solution for elevated design themes with proper care.

Tips for ordering
  • We recommend that most flowers be scheduled to be delivered 2-3 days prior to an event. All flowers are harvested just prior to delivery.
  • Delicate flowers such as Lily of the Valley, Gardenias, and Stephanotis are best when delivered 1-2 days before the event.
  • Iris have a short vase life so the delivery should be scheduled 2 days prior to your event.
  • Lotus have a short vase life so they need to be ordered 1-2 days prior to events.
  • Peonies and Ranunculus may take longer to open during cold months. Schedule delivery of these flowers 3-4 days prior to your event.
  • Alstroemeria, Gladiolus, Agapanthus, Stars of Bethlehem, Sunflowers, and Lilies may require at least 3 days for blooming. Consider scheduling delivery of these flowers 3-4 days before your event.
  • Blooming branches for Jan and Feb deliveries should be scheduled for delivery at least 7 - 10 days before your event to permit adequate blooming. Expect blooming in 10 days with cold weather. For March and later, a 4-5 day lead time before your wedding or event is suggested for proper blooming.
  • Pumpkin branches schedule delivery 2 to 3 days prior to your event.
  • For Manzanita branches, if you would like the farm to remove the leaves, this needs to be requested in advance.
If you are unsure what day to select, pick the best available date you can, we suggest 3 days prior to the event. OR you can contact our flower care experts by chat or email to help you decide which date is best for you.
