Care & Handling

Orange Hydrangea Airbrushed – Care & Handling

To ensure your Orange Hydrangea Airbrushed blooms remain fresh and vibrant:

  1. Hydrate Immediately: Upon arrival, trim stems at a 45-degree angle and place in clean water with floral preservative.

  2. Room Temperature: Store in a cool room, away from direct sunlight and heating vents. Avoid refrigeration if not professionally controlled.

  3. Mist Regularly: Lightly mist petals daily to prevent dehydration, especially for airbrushed varieties.

  4. Change Water Often: Replace water every 24–48 hours to maintain freshness.

  5. Avoid Crushing: These hydrangeas have large, delicate heads. Arrange them with space to breathe and fluff petals gently.

  6. No Submerging Petals: Only stems should be submerged in water to prevent petal discoloration due to their airbrushed treatment.

Following these tips will keep your Orange Airbrushed Hydrangeas looking spectacular for your big event!

Tips for ordering
  • We recommend that most flowers be scheduled to be delivered 2-3 days prior to an event. All flowers are harvested just prior to delivery.

  • Iris have a short vase life so the delivery should be scheduled 2 days prior to your event.
  • Lotus have a short vase life so they need to be ordered 1-2 days prior to events.
  • Peonies and Ranunculus may take longer to open during cold months. Schedule delivery of these flowers 3-4 days prior to your event.
  • Alstroemeria, Gladiolus, Agapanthus, Stars of Bethlehem, Sunflowers, and Lilies may require at least 3 days for blooming. Consider scheduling delivery of these flowers 3-4 days before your event.
  • Blooming branches for Jan and Feb deliveries should be scheduled for delivery at least 7 - 10 days before your event to permit adequate blooming. Expect blooming in 10 days with cold weather. For March and later, a 4-5 day lead time before your wedding or event is suggested for proper blooming.
  • Pumpkin branches schedule delivery 2 to 3 days prior to your event.
  • For Manzanita branches, if you would like the farm to remove the leaves, this needs to be requested in advance.
