Care & Handling

Care & Handling for Biological Roses - Brighton Yellow

  1. Unpack Upon Arrival:
Carefully unpack the roses as soon as they arrive. Remove any packaging materials that may be constricting the stems to allow proper airflow.

  2. Trim the Stems:
Using sharp scissors or pruning shears, cut the stems at a 45-degree angle under running water. This helps prevent air from entering the stems, which can block water absorption.

  3. Remove Lower Leaves:
Remove any leaves that will be submerged in the water to prevent bacterial growth. This will help keep the water clean and the roses healthy.

  4. Use Fresh Water:
Place the roses in a clean vase filled with fresh, room-temperature water. If flower food is provided, mix it into the water, as it contains nutrients that can help prolong the life of the flowers.

  5. Keep in a Cool Area:
Store the roses in a cool location away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and drafts. Ideal temperatures are typically between 65°F and 75°F (18°C to 24°C).

  6. Change the Water Regularly:
Change the water every two days, ensuring that the vase is clean and free from bacteria. Re-trim the stems slightly during each water change to maintain optimal hydration.

  7. Avoid Ethylene Gas:
Keep the roses away from fruits and vegetables, as they emit ethylene gas, which can shorten the lifespan of flowers.

  8. Monitor for Dropping Petals:
If you notice any petals dropping or browning, gently remove them to keep the arrangement looking fresh and beautiful.

By following these care and handling guidelines, you can help ensure that your Brighton Yellow roses remain vibrant and beautiful for as long as possible. Let me know if you need any further adjustments or additional information!
