Care & Handling

Upon Arrival:

  • Unpack the blooms immediately and remove any protective wrapping.
  • Trim each stem at a 45° angle under clean running water to help with hydration.
  • Place stems in a clean bucket with fresh, cool water and allow them to rehydrate in a cool room for 4–6 hours.

Hydration & Storage:

  • Store at 36°F–50°F, away from heat, sunlight, and fruit (which releases ethylene gas).
  • Change water daily and re-trim stems every 1–2 days to maximize vase life.
  • Remove any leaves that fall below the waterline to prevent bacterial growth.

Handling Tips:

  • Ranunculus have delicate, layered petals and hollow stems—handle with care.
  • Allow blooms to open naturally. If you need them in full bloom for your event, hydrate them 2–3 days in advance.

Design Tips

  • Color Variety: Assorted ranunculus offer a playful mix that brings texture and vibrancy to any arrangement.
  • Perfect Pairings: Pair with garden roses, eucalyptus, tulips, and peonies for layered, romantic looks.
  • Versatile Use: Ideal for bridal bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages, low centerpieces, bud vases, or hanging floral installations.
  • Event Styles: Great for rustic, boho, garden-style, or modern wedding themes.
  • Affordable & Premium: Their premium appearance at wholesale pricing makes them perfect for affordable luxury weddings and bulk floral purchases.

Pro Tip: To revive soft blooms or slightly limp stems, wrap them loosely in newspaper, submerge the lower half in warm water, and leave in a cool, dark area for several hours.

Tips for ordering
  • We recommend that most flowers be scheduled to be delivered 2-3 days prior to an event. All flowers are harvested just prior to delivery.
  • Delicate flowers such as Lily of the Valley, Gardenias, and Stephanotis are best when delivered 1-2 days before the event.
  • Iris have a short vase life so the delivery should be scheduled 2 days prior to your event.
  • Lotus have a short vase life so they need to be ordered 1-2 days prior to events.
  • Peonies and Ranunculus may take longer to open during cold months. Schedule delivery of these flowers 3-4 days prior to your event.
  • Alstroemeria, Gladiolus, Agapanthus, Stars of Bethlehem, Sunflowers, and Lilies may require at least 3 days for blooming. Consider scheduling delivery of these flowers 3-4 days before your event.
  • Blooming branches for Jan and Feb deliveries should be scheduled for delivery at least 7 - 10 days before your event to permit adequate blooming. Expect blooming in 10 days with cold weather. For March and later, a 4-5 day lead time before your wedding or event is suggested for proper blooming.
  • Pumpkin branches schedule delivery 2 to 3 days prior to your event.
  • For Manzanita branches, if you would like the farm to remove the leaves, this needs to be requested in advance.
If you are unsure what day to select, pick the best available date you can, we suggest 3 days prior to the event. OR you can contact our flower care experts by chat or email to help you decide which date is best for you.
