Amaryllis Challenger - Green Bicolor is a variety of bloom from our Wholesale Flowers collection that is good for Wedding Flowers, Church Designs, and all kinds of Floral Decor. This kind of Flower is also known as Hippeastrum and is the perfect color if you are searching for a Green Botanical that also has a white bicolor tone. This variety has heads that open to as they mature in their vase life, which is around 10 to 14 days. One cool trick is if you see that your head is beginning to look wilted, simply hang them upside down and fill their straw like stems with water. Some often ask, Why Are Amaryllis So Expensive? At Whole Blossoms, we have the lowest prices available, but you need to understand that growing Amaryllis is a slow process that needs extra care, so this makes it even more special to arrange with.

Tips for ordering
  • We recommend that most flowers be scheduled to be delivered 2-3 days prior to an event. All flowers are harvested just prior to delivery.
  • Delicate flowers such as Lily of the Valley, Gardenias, and Stephanotis are best when delivered 1-2 days before the event.
  • Iris have a short vase life so the delivery should be scheduled 2 days prior to your event.
  • Lotus have a short vase life so they need to be ordered 1-2 days prior to events.
  • Peonies and Ranunculus may take longer to open during cold months. Schedule delivery of these flowers 3-4 days prior to your event.
  • Alstroemeria, Gladiolus, Agapanthus, Stars of Bethlehem, Sunflowers, and Lilies may require at least 3 days for blooming. Consider scheduling delivery of these flowers 3-4 days before your event.
  • Blooming branches for Jan and Feb deliveries should be scheduled for delivery at least 7 days before your event to permit adequate blooming. For March and later, a 4-5 day lead time before your wedding or event is suggested for proper blooming.
  • Pumpkin branches schedule delivery 2 to 3 days prior to your event.
  • For Manzanita branches, if you would like the farm to remove the leaves, this needs to be requested in advance.
If you are unsure what day to select, pick the best available date you can, we suggest 3 days prior to the event. OR you can contact our flower care experts by chat or email to help you decide which date is best for you.
