Sunflower Care and Handling

Make sure to hydrate your Sunflowers upon arrival. Take out the flowers immediately after receiving them and make an angular cut of around 1 inch under water. Remove shrubbery that can fall in vase to avoid building up of bacteria and now put your sunflowers in fresh water.

Use warm water and put your plant in sunlight to make the sunflower flourish over time. You can add preservative if preferred though it is not necessary. If you are going to arrange your sunflowers immediately, then keep them inside with air conditioning. Trim the stems, change water and also change the preservative every other day to extend flower life and freshness.

If your flowers didn’t open even after 24 hours in water, then contact us so we can give suggestions that’ll help speed up the blooming process. WholeBlossoms.com will not reimburse or reship the sunflowers that do not open or if they arrive bent as Sunflowers tend to bend looking for sunlight and it is normal for few stems to bend in a wholesale lot.
