Arranging Tips: Calla Lilies are a great wedding flower choice for bride bouquets long stemmed floral arrangements, and centerpieces. Your fresh Whole Blossoms flowers will need to be hydrated upon arrival.

Unpack flowers as soon as you receive them and cut about one inch of the stem at an angle under water (with a sharp knife NOT scissors). Remove foliage that could fall under water to avoid bacteria to build-in and place the flowers in clean, fresh, warm, filtered water (100F-105F). Rehydrate for at least an hour before using and add floral preservative. If the flowers are not going to be displayed immediately, try to keep them in a fresh place preferably (38F-56F) and at least 80% humidity in fresh water with floral preservative. Replace water and floral preservative frequently to ensure freshness.

Calla Lilies have a long vase life. They are a very low maintenance flower. However, Calla Lilies stems need to be cut every few days to enable water to penetrate the blossoms. Average vase life: 8-10 days.

To get the highest durability out of your Callas, make sure to recut the stems every 2 to 3 days.

Note that when the flowers are shipped dry, they may arrive a little limp. They will revive after being recut and hydrated.

Leaving part of the white stem, helps with water uptake and vase life while reducing the chances of stem splitting or curling.

When storing your flowers, make sure that they are not moved from cold to hot or from hot to cold temperatures since drastic temperature changes will burn flowers.

When Calla-lilies are left in bacteria contaminated water, the bottom of the stem will become mushy. Be sure to change the water frequently,preferably every day.

When placing your Calla Lilies order, choose a delivery date 2-3 days prior to your wedding or event. All flowers included in your Calla Lilies  package are premium flowers that were harvested just prior to delivery. For most flowers, 2-4 days are needed for the blooms to fully open. If your Wedding or Event is on a Saturday, we recommend therefore scheduling your Calla Lilies package arrival for a Wednesday or Thursday delivery.
