Your Galax just arrived! Now they need to be hydrated and processed. Carefully unpack your Galax. All wholesale greens look dry upon arrival and will need to be hydrated. It is important to give your wholesale greens a couple of hours to hydrate and replenish. Depending on the variety purchased, some wholesale flowers may need 24 to 36 hours to hydrate and perk up.

CARE AND HANDLING FOR GALAX

  • Place your Galax in clean, fresh, filtered water. Carefully remove leaves, or foliage that fall under the water level (without tearing the stem skin) to avoid the build-up of bacteria. Cut one inch off the end of the stem in a 45-degree angle (with a sharp knife NOT scissors) to allow water to be better absorbed through the stems. After cutting the stem at an angle, quickly place your greens and fillers in water since it only takes a minute for the stem to dry and seal up.
  • Keep Galax in a shaded, cool, relatively humid area (not cooler than 40F). Avoid placing your greens and fillers near hot surfaces or environments. Greens and fillers must be in water at all times until they are ready to be used.
  • When storing your wholesale greens, do not move them from hot to cold or cold to hot temperatures to avoid that they get hypothermia. Drastic changes in temperature burn greens and fillers.
  • Do not keep your greens and fillers in the refrigerator overnight since many fruit and vegetable gases can damage your wholesale greens.

  • When placing your order for Galax, choose a delivery date 2-3 days prior to your wedding or event. All Galax is harvested just prior to delivery
  • If your Wedding or Event is on a Saturday, we recommend therefore scheduling delivery of your greens and fillers to occur on the prior Wednesday or Thursday.
  • All Wholesale flowers will normally be delivered via FedEx and will require a signature upon delivery. Tracking number(s) will be emailed to you 1-2 days prior to delivery of your fresh cut greens and filler.
  • All fresh cut flowers, greens, and fillers ship from South America or Europe refrigerated through cold chain management and are carefully transported to ensure freshness. Upon arrival, carefully unpack your flowers and greens and follow the care and handling instructions.
  • Please ensure someone is available to sign for your wholesale flowers on the day and time your order is scheduled to arrive as FedEx may not leave flowers by your front door. If you are not going to be available to receive your flowers, please contact Fedex to place your flowers on Hold For Pick Up.
  • If the weather is under 60F and over 38F depending on the flowers ordered, you could leave a note releasing signature. If the weather is over 95F or under 35F, you may want to request Hold For Pick Up at the Fedex station the day before the delivery of your flowers if you are not going to be available to receive them. Additionally, while FedEx is reliable at meeting delivery dates and times, in a limited number of cases, your shipment might arrive one day before or after your scheduled delivery date due to factors resulting from weather, customs processing times, FedEx flight delays, and other uncontrollable and unforeseeable factors.
