Your fresh cut Kangaroo Paws will need to be hydrated upon arrival.

Anigozanthus are shipped dry and must be trimmed and hydrated immediately upon receipt.

Unpack your fresh Kangaroo Paws upon delivery and cut about one-quarter to one-half inch off the stem at an angle under running water (with a sharp knife NOT scissors). Quickly place each stem into a bucket filled with fresh water. Add floral preservative to the water if available. In the absence of flower food, pour a spoon of sugar into the water (to help open the flowers) and one drop of bleach (to keep bacteria away). Do not add more than one drop of bleach. Replace water and floral preservative every 2-3 days to help extend the vase life of your fresh cut flowers.

Remove wilted foliage that could later fall into the water to avoid bacteria build-up. If your Kangaroo Paws are not going to be displayed immediately, try to store them in a cool place with ample humidity.

When storing your bulk Kangaroo Paw flowers, ensure they are not moved from cold to hot or from hot to cold temperatures since drastic temperature changes can burn flowers.
