Unpack your Alstroemeria flowers as soon as you receive them and cut about one inch of the stem at an angle (with a sharp knife NOT scissors). Remove foliage that could fall under water to avoid bacteria to build-in and place the flowers in clean, fresh, filtered or bottled water.

Keep flowers in water at all times to hydrate them and add floral preservative. If the flowers are not going to be displayed immediately, try to keep them in a cool place no cooler than 40F with up to 80% humidity, and in clean water with floral preservative. Replace water and floral preservative every two to three days to ensure a long vase life.

Fresh cut Alstroemeria flowers are ethylene sensitive so they need to be kept away from fruit and vegetables to help promote a long vase life.

HOW LONG IN ADVANCE SHOULD I ORDER? We recommend ordering your Alstroemerias at least a month before your wedding or event to ensure product and colors availability.

When placing your wholesale Alstroemeria order, choose a delivery date 3-4 days prior to your wedding or event. Because Alstroemerias were harvested just prior to delivery, 2-4 days are needed for the blooms to fully open. If your Wedding or Event is on a Saturday, we recommend therefore scheduling your Alstroemerias for a Tuesday or Wednesday delivery.
